Anyone ever give the Rizoma (not bar ends) with integrated turn signal a try?

Recent tip over has me replacing a mirror. but gotta admit I wasn't a fan of the stock. Not a huge fan of bar ends either so just looking for alternatives.

I'm in the same boat as far as mirror preference. My right side folds down at speed so I have been on the hunt for some good looking aftermarket mirrors for the 1125.

Free bump

You should be able to fix the folding if they're like the XB mirrors at all...

Yes the rivet can be drilled out and a bolt installed in its place to stop the folding.

Yes, the factory mirrors are crap. The '08s do fold back at speed. The '09s do not. Yes, you can drill out the rivet and replace it with a bolt, but then it becomes very easy to break, ask me how I know! The most irritating thing is that they don't work! All you see is yourself! Reminds me of my time in Saigon during the war, all the Viets had there mirrors adjusted to the center so they could see themselves better.

We need a stabilized rear view camera. That would solve the problem, but have not found one yet.

hehe... rear view camera would be pretty cool.

replace the speedo with some sort of tablet with overlays for speed/RPM..

Surprised an enterprising android developer hasn't built one of these yet

I've put a few rear view cams on my friends bikes. Just used a small monitor and a plate cam.

Shawns,
I have also mounted rear-view cameras, but the vibration made the result unacceptable. The camera needs to be stabilized like the cameras used in Motogp. I have never seen them advertised, but I would expect them to be really expensive.

What about mounting the rear view cam on your helmet, a la Skully AR-1?

Our bodies as passive vibration dampers...

^^ Those are cool but I prefer to have mirrors. I have never used one of those but I think I would find it distracting.

I agree, about the HUD and Bluetooth and speakers being distracting. But I have been thinking about a passive rearview feature like in the optics-only Reevu helmet. Problem is you have to buy a Reevu helmet, and what if it doesn't suit?

Regarding the 1125R mirrors, they totally work, but I have found it necessary to tuck ever so slightly, round the lower back and take weight off the hands, which is the proper riding position anyway...

The 1125R mirrors work because you do see SOMETHING back there. LOL!

I put those round inexpensive Fish Eye mirrors that you stick on, at the outer edges of the OEM mirrors. These are actually CLEARER than the OEM mirror. The fish eyes are also wide angle so you CAN see in your blind spot.

It's cheap, easy, and quick fix. I actually do like the OEM mirror's LED turn signal light because they are really bright and big so everyone sees it right away. Also, the shape of the mirrors actually do look good on the bike.

Anyone tried mounting the 1190 mirrors... No turn signals I suppose

Another bump. I'm also on the hunt for a mirror replacement. My son backed into my bike with moms grand cherokee. While I don't hate the factory mirrors I am entertaining other options. I remember someone using a backup camera as a rear view. Anyone using this? Potential problems?

I put Firebolt mirrors on my 1125R, Loretta.
Moved the turn signals to the marker lights and all has been good for 7+ years.

Just got a 2012 Carbon 1190RS and it had the same bullshit mirrors.
Getting a new set of Firebolt mirrors and some bar-end turn signals from Oberon or whoever.
