Thats what I was thinking, the bike is still carving a nice line. It doesn't look very broken, and I'm sure he didn't have time to throw it into neutral.
I really am loving the details in the paint for this year.
For the life of me I can't think of a mechanical other than a false neutral that might have spooked him and made him go off, that leaves the bike still carving a line like that. A broken engine or tranny isn't going to want free wheel like that.
Troy Bayliss will be racing in the next three rounds! Great news for WSBk, not so much for EBR as he is certain to keep them at least one spot lower in the finishing order but it will be good to see him out there again.
Even with one in the gravel and only two points on the board, we are so far ahead of last year. This is exciting! I love the bike and EBR going up against the big boys with American ingenuity. Got to start some place. I am a bad weather biker and will ride through some bad weather looking for the sunshine. I have seen a few rays of light in this first round.

Last year to this year - simpler electronics on motor. Four cylinders might have advantage. Thinks the new track will be a little faster, that it will be fun. Going to be very hot, track will be hotter. Air could be 30 to 38 track could be 60 centigrade. Yes it will be hot which makes it harder on rider and motor. Water gets hot, cant change water. When it's so hot you slip in the turns because the track is hot and the tires get soft. Crash in Australia hat something to do with the heat too. When your riding at the limit when it's hot you always have sensation of slipping in the turns. The new track is a simple track, not a lot of turns or elevation change. Good for Ducati. Should be close racing.
