Interesting. Some will, doubtless, recall precisely the same thing happening last year and the ensuring furor over not being told what the problem was. |

Perhaps Niccolo made an emergency run to the restroom after getting too close to Larry following Larry's close encounter with the stomach bug... |

With only 3 laps completed, Nic was 20th fastest in FP2. Larry made 21 laps and was 22nd. http://resources.worldsbk.com/files/results/2015/A US/SBK/L2A/CLA/Results.pdf Lets hope Nic can avoid any issues today and get in two good practice sessions. |

Thanks for the pics ..... Lets hope there is not any more bad luck left for Nick. It seems tha Nick uses the 2-disc brakes and Larry the ISO brake. Unfortunately, only FP3 counts for Superpole, not FP4 , so Nick must find his speed in FP3.... |

Looking forward Bayliss and what he can do. His return even for one race has boosted the sales big time at this race |

In FP4, Nic went 300KPH, but with a slower lap time, still in the second portion of Superpole?? |

Yes, he is. FP4 does not count toward accumulated times for Superpole. |

It appears that the EBR team struggles as temperatures rise on the track. The other teams that run toward the front seem to have managed the temperature gremlin. I still see Niccolo as a top 10, but as the track got hotter, he slowed down. This is a tough problem not easily resolved. |

Ebmachine .... yes......, looking at the performance of EBR in Philip Island during both the 2days test and the racing weekend , it seems that as the track temperatures get higher the times get worse..maybe their setups is not ideal for high heat ... BUT.... it is the same for everyone....During the tests Nick was 10th, but since that he went backwards..... I think the biggest factor for EBR during the race weekend was Nick's technical problem in FP1 (gpone.com reported a broken engine) and his crash in FP2. Nick managed only 3 laps in 90minutes track time on Friday. Also the team might have decided not to go 100% around Philip Island and risk an injury... There is a big risk in Philip Island and many riders suffer big crashes that leave them out of action for months.... Salom was the latest victim ...he had a very scary fall and it seems that he is not racing tommorow. Lets hope Nick and Larry have a good race tommorow.... Top 15 will be good for Nick , top 10 will be GREAT ! |

Another article from Speedweek (google translated version) regarding EBR's qualifying efforts: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de& u=http://www.speedweek.com/sbk/news/70825/Buell-Er ste-Superpole-e28093-P17-durch-Niccolo-Canepa.html &prev=search The translation is not crystal clear, but I get that SP1 was interrupted which hampered Canepa's efforts slightly. They also don't quite have the bike setup worked out. I think they're saying the bike has a tendency to wheelie (?). Also Pegram is still sick with a stomach bug despite reporting earlier in the week that he felt much better. I'm sorry for him; I can't imagine having to race feeling like that. Hopefully he will be fully recovered for today's races. |

^ beIN Sports will be playing about a several hour block of coverage starting at 7:00PM EST. I'm sure its part of several Satellite and Cable packages, BUT it can also be picked up as part of the $25 slingtv.com internet based service. The cool thing is that Sling currently has a 7 day trial period and billing similar to NetFlix. |

You can also subscribe to video feed at WorldSBK.com: http://www.worldsbk.com/en/subscribe Cost is ~$75 US for the whole season or ~$17 US/month. I have AT&T U-verse cable; I can get beIN, but only as part of a $90/month (!) package. |
