Ok so since I was doing this I decided to document it and share any tips I could with all of you. Redhorse AN fittings needed: (All npt fittings going into the pump or motor needs teflon sealant per factory service manual) qty 2 816-04-02-1 4an straight male to 1/8 npt qty 1 822-06-02-1 -06 90 degree male adapter to qty 1 822-04-02-1 -4 90 degree male adapter to qty 1 816-06-02-1 6an straight male to 1/8 npt qty 1 1000-06-2 -6 straight swivel hose end qty 3 1000-04-2 -4 straight swivel hose end qty 1 1060-06-2 -6 60 degree swivel hose end qty 5 ft 230-04-1 -4 line (your footage will be different) qty 5 ft 230-06-1 -6 line (your footage will be different) Tools needed: Liquid wrench or WD40 razor blade wrenches flat screw driver or sim masking tape Tesa tape Saw or something to cut the hose Highly recommended AN fitting vise Jaws Have all your fittings etc sorted and ready to go. I like to put masking tape on the fitting so I do not mar the anodize. Next put the hose side in the vise jaws and work the hose in turning clockwise till it bottoms out on the inside lip. This is where you may need to use a small screw driver or pick to push the braiding in. Next use the Tesa tape to wrap around the hose right at the back of the fitting. Reason this is done is so you can see if the hose is pushing out. Tesa tape only sticks to itself so it will not stick to the braided hose routinely used for wire harnesses. Next flip the hose around in the jaws letting it protrude slightly. Next spray the lube on both the hose side and the AN side use plenty. Insert the fitting and fully tighten in a consistent turning motion while pushing the hose inward. Do not pause while turning it will bind. Remove all tape clean with Isopropyl alcohol and your done. To finish off the other end of the hose at your oil resevoir they make a nice decrotve hose clamp Sent from my iPad |

Tesa tapes are a Godsend! I didn't realize that they are available in the US. Back in a former life with my current German employer, we used a handful of different Tesa tapes. What we referred to as 'German duct tape' absolutely ROCKED! 1313 |

Thank you. I am about to pull the oil lines and pump out in my tear down. Got the oil tank out. Leaky fittings and jacked up grommets. It's a mess. It's a shame new ones are made of unobtanium. I'll have to spring for either a cannibalized used one on fleabay or the $600 aluminum one. |

When I've done this with stainless braided line, I've wrapped the very end with electrical tape,( 1 wrap only) before screwing it into fitting, so you don't have to try and poke stray pieces back in. Seemed to work. What is the hose and where did you get it? Looks good. |

I will be posting some more pics and a finalized list as I needed to change two fittings. The hose is Black baided line also from Redhorse it is good for all gas and oil. Did not want stainless. |

Yeah, I had to do some labeling and tracing to make sure I knew which hose when to which tank nipple. Just wish they still made new tanks. |

Very nice. Asked the guys why they dont sell solid blue or solid red. He said its funny but that is probably the most asked question. He said from the beginning it was red and blue and if they change all the guys that have red and blue will be screwed. And its not cost efective to have all 3. Basicly the hot rods like red and blue. |

Get some of that crystal drain cleaner, pour it into a bucket with some water and drop the fittings in...poof, no more red and blue |
