Installed this on my bike and the low speed turns have an awkward feel. Does anyone else have this steer damper installed and did you experience the same? Maybe it just takes some getting used to. High speed and under hard accelerations it works great. Getting it to drop into slow corners is different. Have an Ohlins on another bike and never had that dramatic of a change.

Did you try and adjust it? How old is it? You can have them rebuild it rather cheaply.

I experienced the same issue at low speeds, adjusted it as low damping as possible with no change. Never considered a rebuild, you wouldn't think a new unit would require it unless they could "de-tune it". I gave up on it and took it off, sitting in a drawer in tool chest.

I had the same problems and more with mine when I first installed it. The bike felt like it was snaking down the road when trying to ride a straight line. Sent it back to GPR and they changed out a few parts and went to a lighter weight oil. It feels much better now.

Right, mine was a Christmas gift from my wife. Finally got around to installing it and hate how much effort it requires to throw it over. I also dialed it down to the lowest setting. I'd feel bad taking it off because she spent so much on it.

Email GPR and let them know the issue you are having. They will probably change the oil to a lighter weight and do an inspection of the unit free of charge.

I had one on my XB12r and it worked great, put one on my 1125r and it was awful, really don't understand the difference. I put the EBR Ohlins kit on my 1125 and it has been perfect.

I have the the GPR4V on both my CR and R and have no issues when turned to 0.I like these because you can adjust them on the fly.

I sold my GPR for the same reasons. I bought mine used, and even on the lowest setting it felt as if I was not in complete control. I sent my GPRV4 back in to have it serviced with a lighter oil. The service didn't change much except my confidence in my own riding ability and control. If felt as if I were riding a Harley rather than a sport bike. I had a few wobbles prior to buying the GPR, but I realized that they were usually caused by trying to ride a wheelie out to the very last second. I had one wobble coming out of the last turn at puttum park, but recovered about as graceful as riding a bucking horse. In Hind sight, the GPR is more of a extra piece of metal that isn't needed for a street bike or even a race bike. I could on the other hand see the EBR stabilizer being very useful for the track. I have never used the EBR stabilizer ,but one would think it would only stop and slow quick jerks rather than your ability to control the bike.
