Lost use of clutch on 2009 Ulysses last year. Problem was diagnosed to be broke lip on primary case that holds the ramp for the clutch. Had machinist install a CNC made plate to repair the primary case to accept the ramp. Put bike back together, adjusted clutch cable, and the clutch adjusting screw to specs in the service manual. Maker of the CNC plate recommends before starting the bike that you put the bike in gear then pull in clutch and roll the bike to make sure the new part is not rubbing. After doing so all sounded OK. Started bike all good and took her for a test ride. Clutch works great. There is a whining sound coming from inside the primary case when pulling in the clutch while bike is running. Any suggestions. |

Whining just when clutch lever pulled in? No grinding noise under deceleration? More likely the throwout bearing than the primary chain. Perhaps it is not fully seated in the clutch. |
