I've decided to take the plunge and build my top end. Putting on a 1250kit with stage 2 xb heads, .570 cams, and a full exhaust. Shooting for 100-110 hp to the ground. On that note, what are my take off parts worth? I don't want to list it without a price, and look like a jerk. I just want fair market out of them. |

Is the engine apart? If so can you tell me what color dot is on cam #4 (front exhaust cam)? Thanks |

What exhaust are you going with if you're ditching the Race system? D&D? |

Engine is not apart. I need to price out the components to see if I can afford the d&d When I get the motor apart, I will let you know what the color is. Does anyone know if the stock pushrods covers will work on the swap? X1 that is... |

Pushrod tubes, yes. Pushrods, depends on how much the heads are decked and the valves sank. |

I'm on the most difficult step of the build: talking to the wife about it! I may have to stop at the 1250 kit and stage 2 heads for now. We shall see. I've got the 1250 kit and heads. But need to ship em off for some lovin'. Hammer, or NHRS? Does Cyclerama do buell work? |

BTW, you can save some coin by welding up the intake floors on the Thunderstorm heads and deck to squish, so they will essentially be XB heads with an angled squish band, and you wont have to buy a new front mount. That's what I'm doing. |

I've used Cyclerama for a head clean up / light porting, and was *very* happy with the result. |

Malott another vote for Cycle Rama here too. Not only lots better but they help pay the bills here and don't spam the board. |

Look back at Splatter's posts and you'll see who else spams the boards. Just like "Imus" in HDForums. Give it up Aaron. Just because you say Cyclerama here doesn't mean you haven't posted Hammer links over 50 times here on BadWeb. And BTW I didn't even recommend a shop if you didn't notice, just posted the obvious. The last link was a fluke; I didn't realize it didn't change with the search. Write Splatter in the search field and chose look in "names of authors" to pull up all of his BadWeb posts. |

Cycle Rama did repairs and upgrades to my x1 heads, no issues, 15K miles later. They are good folks, If Blake chimes in you will get another vote for Cycle Rama, They also sponsor.. |

So has your wife made a decision yet? I need to make a cam decision soon too - whether yours are available or not may affect my decision.... |
