I have a chain oiler on many of my dirt bikes as well. The lest brave may call them leaking output shaft seals, but trust me, they are chain oilers. Some have front axle oilers also (fed from the forks ) |

My X1 had a brake lubricating system built into the fork. The people that rebuilt my fork forgot to reinstall the lubricating system. Since then, I have had to manually add oil to the pads. My X1 also used to have a rear brake pad lubricating system built into the tranny breather line but it stopped working after my crank seal was replaced. |

Skinstains, You made my day. My bike looks absolutely sparkling now that I've seen your photos. You've gotta quit bathing that thing in Muratic acid. |

If you look closely at the pics you will see that there is a mudflap on the rear wheel as well as one on the belt guard. Slowride, I don't remember what size sprocket I have on there. I will check tomorrow when I take those parts off the bike. I dug out the old parts that I will be putting on but am just too cold & wet to do the swap tonight. |

Damn ! I'm in for the night and forgot to count them for slowride. I have bought several to try to figure out which ones would work and have too many #'s in my head to just shoot from the hip. |

I use "Rebel Gears" they will make you one any size you want. Quick, fast & in a hurry. They are USA made right here in Tennessee (I think) and don't suffer from some of the problems you might expect from a larger company. I will post up the size that worked for my mod tomorrow as it's time to hit the rack for me. |

The rear sprocket on my Uly is a "Rebel Gears" model 2932 - 55 tooth. I bought a 54 and 55 tooth but could not use the 54T as there just isn't enough adjustment with the adjustable idler. It only pulls slack out of the lower half of the chain run not upper and lower like an adjustable axle would. Hey slowride, the box went out today USPS... |

To run the 54T I would need a 1/2 link. The guy asked me "exactly how old are you" when I asked if they had any available. 1/2 links are still available in 530 but I think getting an "O"-Ring 530 1/2 link would be tough to do. |

Thank you for the information, I am digging into the Rebel Gears site now. So, my tensioner is a roller type with rubber on it instead of a sprocket type. It looks like an idler pulley with a rubber belt turned upside down with the grooves of rubber facing up. The PO said it worked great vs a sprocket type. |

The sprocket one is definately louder bit I like the piece of mind it provides as far as the chain staying on it. |
