Ok so i am runnimg all new lines and fittings. Can I just unbolt the oil pump or what is involved? |

Just pull the two mounting bolts and it should drop down. Nothing more than that. I would also suggest doing an inspection of the oil pump drive gear if you haven't replaced it with the bronze one. |

Thank you very much. I figured so but I always like to verify. Drive gesr I guess we will see I had it replaced when I had motor work done but did he???? |

Bump the crank and reinspect a few times. The wear can be very asymmetrical. |

You can change the lines without dropping the pump. Check the manual for the routing to be safe. |

I have not purchased them yet. That is Joes bike from Australia but he listed the parts for speed flow which is not in the us but I am cross referencing here is the link to his build and list The best build I have seen http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/263887.html

They are all standard AN fittings. Get them at Jeggs or any other speed shop. |

Ok so need some opinions when installing the fittings into the oil pump should a sealant or tape be used on the threads?

Yellow teflon tape - the white stuff is oil soluble and meant for water. |

HARLEY 26495-89A I believe there is an upgrade number, like the A might now be a B, but this will get you there. (Message edited by johnod on January 30, 2015) |
