Not mine, but looks very sweet. I always thought the blue Stripe was gorgeous. Always wanted one. There's a few nice ones in CA now. Why oh why do they have to be on the other side of the country from me and why oh why do they come up when my funds just got depleted? Credit card through Paypal maybe? LOL! http://sacramento.craigslist.org/mcy/4835123563.ht ml |

A blue 99 race stripe X1 has been at the top of my wishlist for a few years now, it hurts me to see one pop up, which always seems to happen when I financially can't swing it. Anyone interested in a Ulysses with over 40k miles and a rusty muffler? |

i wonder if this is a original blue racing stripe or a x1 which got the blue racing stripe plastics . the racing stripes i know have a numbered gas cap. 350 made . i talked to a former buell employee about the racing stripes and he told me that 298 numbered blue racing stripes were sold in 1999 and 52 in 2000 ( they didn`t use the numbered gas cap in order, number 295 can be a 2000 buell). the ones that where sold in 2000 had the tank cover without the air vents ( all 1999 x1 buells had air vents in the tank cover ) and they had some adjustments in the transmission. the racing stripe from the ad is a 1999 buell , doesn`t have a numbered gas cap and does not have the air vents. it also doesn`t have the vertical buell decal on the flyscreen which all racingstripes i have seen have. not saying this isn`t a nice bike . it looks awesome . just noticed the difference between this buell and the two blue racing stripes i own (except for the mods i made) #293

I sold a set of blue stripe body work to a member here, think it had the scoops. I always wanted a numbered bike. |

The sac X1 I believe was originally listed as being painted. I might have a look at it next weekend. |

If you look close at the tank cap, it is not numbered. Not original but, very nice indeed. Got the nice wheels too. |

Just an FYI, the US model blue stripes weren't numbered. |

Based on everything I've seen, I guess so. a quick search didn't turn up any hard proof, but here is one place it was discussed. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/13294.html?1023832444 |

i think it is almost impossible to get hard proof. heard some stories from former buell employees but none of them could give me hard proof. i`ve also been told that not all the limited edition buell milleniums (800) and red racing stripes (800) were made. i am sure about this information because the person who told me this information worked for buell and still owns a new numbered gas cap ( he showed me ). i`ve seen a blue buell x1 rs for sale in canada a a while ago. the gas cap was numbered. |
