Sold mine three years ago and want one back. Cash in hand. Located in Northeastern PA. PM me. I had a 06. Wouldn't mind the same year or something newer. I've been reading that 07 is a year to stay away from. |

I have an 08 XB12X, 29,200 miles. Thrust Blue. Runs good, Tires are good. Standard side and top case. I bought in 2010. Rode in 22 states and 3 Provinces. Changes since i have owned: Belt, EBR front rotor, o2 sensor, ECM, Big Crank battery, new plugs and wires.Had gel installed in stock seat. Shop manual. I have a Triumph explorer, ride Uly less. Can send pics this week if interested. Will list locally (Southwest PA.)also. Going to ask $4200. |

07s could have a badly machined crank. It wasn't all 07s, but all of the badly machined batch seem to have been put in 07s. |

It's not a certain death, but it's not insignificant either. Here is hard data: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/648773.html?1374261251 Keep in mind people with well running bikes don't do much work to go post that all is well, and people with a bad crank are looking anywhere and everywhere to tell somebody. I seem to recall it might have been bad heat treating or something, but in 08 they made the crank bigger at the same time they upgraded the oil system, and they didn't do that for fun. |
