I've made a commitment to buy another bike and this one fellow is threatening to buy this one but I've yet to see a deposit so... 10,400 miles, Wileyco titanium canister, Corbin Gunfighter and Lady w/ blue piping and indentation for the family jewels (works very well), race ECM, race air filter, lots of stainless hardware, new Yuasa battery, new Ferodo pads up front, new Michelin Pilot Roads, inverted clubmans w/ bar end weight, Napoleon bar end, Tommaselli Gran Tourismo knock off grips, Buell traction pegs (I think they're called), fresh Mobil 1 everywhere, Smooth Stroke fork fluid - I'm sure forgetting some other stuff. Everything works just fine, no issues, no problems with the bike, no road rash, - I just need a good two up bike for long trips so something has to go. Powder coating could use some touch up in places, scuff marks on blue headers from being bumped into stuff so it hasn't lived under a doily, just so you know. Jet Hot does a really durable perfect match coating for the headers so that's where it was headed this Winter for a spiff up. I bought this last year from Hogluvr for $3750, put another $1500 or so into it and put around 5,000 miles on it. It's a really good X1. Bike located 15 miles south of York, PA, first three grand gets it.

Yeah...I'll bump you too! Looks like a great deal for somebody. Like many other Forum members that would consider purchasing this motorcycle, I'm just too far away to make it all feasible. By the time I got the bike shipped to me, paid my 7.75% Title tax & registration fee, etc..... You see what I mean. Somebody grab this quick! |

I'm sorry, I didn't see your post until just now. Yes, it's still available; it's mostly been a garage queen since I placed the ad and it's ready to go. |

Yeah, I just left you a message and sent you an email. I'm hard to reach on the phone, though. Those are neoprene gaiters that I got off of eBay - they have Velcro down the sides and you slob some grease inside the gaiters, snug them up and then zip tie the excess in place (or cut it off if you wish). I've NEVER had to replace a fork seal since using these things. As for the bike, the weather turned so you'd probably want to throw it into the back of a pick up or van. I'm right down by the Maryland border due south of York. |

That's a nice looking X1W. There weren't a lot of those made and it was a great looking combination. Post some detail shots of those gaiters if you get a chance. |

I'm keeping it, my Xmas present to myself. This year's tax refund should allow me to finish paying off that Triumph Sprint I put a deposit on. |

Hmmm... A Triumph Sprint, eh? I just picked up one a few weeks ago myself - an '01 RS. The weather hasn't been too bike-friendly since picking it up but it was 58 here (upstate NY) yesterday and I got a decent ride in. Seems like a very nice bike so far... the triple is a really sweet motor... Anyway, glad you're able to keep the X1! |

The weather should be fairly decent today so I'll take the X1W out for a blast today to celebrate. I like the X1W so much that I'd only be looking for another one next year so everything worked out for the best. |

I was watching closely but just could not justify/afford it at this time. I do want a X1W to go with my S1W |

When you get one you're going to love it. I froze my ass off on it today but it sure was a lot of fun. Similar to the S1W but you sit lower and the engine feels a lot more responsive. It might just be the lighter throttle with the fuel injection as I recall my old S1W being a little on the peppy side, especially when you'd lay on the tank and nail the throttle in top gear... |
