Seems better priced than normal but also looks ugly http://quadcities.craigslist.org/mcy/4810911628.ht ml Looks like #32/78 unless the VIN were sequential like first few years of XB? Post to see if anyone is really looking for one. I've got a shipper heading from there to MD. If can't find a second bike, might be able to work someone else's bike. Anywhere from Chicago to DC/ MD Happy holidays |

I have investigated this bike also. I have been told that it has aftermarket parts (front nose) and the missing parts like the caliper are going to be impossible to find. It's on ebay if you didn't already know? With all that said it's a rare piece of Buell history, buy it! |

Reserve not met. It didn't sell. There is so much WTF on that bike, I wouldn't know where to start. |

If the owner died, I have to wonder if the parts are laying around there and just nobody recognizes them. The caliper is missing (obviously), and the backrest half of the seat is missing. That's a huge one. As for the rest of the bike: it's needs an end-to-end restoration. The shock is unobtainium and it's bad. From the looks of the chain and adjusters, that bike has been in a seriously moist environment. The rest of the unobtainium parts will need to be replated as well. Who knows what the engine is like? All of that white paint is going to have to be removed. No clue what they were thinking when they did it. They painted everything, even the grab handles and the flip-up hardware. The grab handles are molded plastic so--no idea how you'll deal with getting the paint off those. It's mostly there and it's worth saving but, man, what a job. |

I'm passing on that but still wanted to get info out since it's rare. If anyone knows of wrecked or beat up XB around id be interested. I have a transporter bringing me another 09 XB and more I find, cheaper it is to ship each bike. Doesn't really matter where in US 48 but closer to MD the better. I've got a bunch & I could offer a finders fee as well for something good |

Spoke with the agent: Bike was last run 2 years ago, parts are all there. I'm going to offer 3k and let them think about it a while. The bike is super rough- but at that price, I can build something I'm not afraid to ride. |

I spoke with him on Tuesday, as MM said he is firm on price... Matt Idk about SUPER rough... it can be saved w time & patience for parts, ALOT of patience!! Issues I see from pix listed.. I don't believe the front fairing & rear tail are original, prob airtech, OR the front fairing had alot of work done, signal holes are not drilled & over the gauges seems pretty wavey gravy, No flip up seat hardware,OR seat good luck w finding that stuff!! correct rear caliper....GOOD LUCK with that!!! I'm sure something can be made to work. As you may know parts are nearly impossible to find for these bikes, if you don't know just ask some owners of them (( The GOOD... he did say the motor runs & it is the "correct" motor ( I can zoom in on the ##) He did say there were some misc parts IDK what.. I would say 3k would be a good # to shoot for, wash her up coat w WD & WAIT for some parts> If I didn't have 4 RS series bikes to keep alive already, & just buy 3 1125's in 2 wks I might be in, but i'm not. SOMEONE SAVE HER!!! Happy New Year to ALL )) (Message edited by k12pilot on January 01, 2015) |
