Nice! very nice. If you want major low end torque keep it stock. If you want a little more freewheeling go for the EBR ECM and a pipe. My CR has 24K miles, lousy in town but it owns the open road. I would have posted on 1125 but I didn't want to start some protracted discussion :-). |

"Congrats, but what's old school on this futurama cycle? the new owner!!! actually he is clearly an "oldschool" guy with bikes dating back to 91! looks like a wicked stray followed you home to wreak havoc in your old school barn! CONGRATS on the new bike! Bring that thing down here this spring and lets go run Skyline drive and the Blueridge Parkway! |

Hopefully it'll be more of a runt in the family than the baby (runts are ignored, babies get all the attention) |

It's weird, I've gotten the bug to check out an 1125 for some reason. Can't say why, but I started watching youtube videos of 1125's a week or two ago, and wondering what they might be like. From an Old School Buell perspective, does anyone know how the maintenance and care requirements for an 1125 would compare to an X1? How tough is it to find mechanical help? If something goes horribly wrong with my X1, I'm pretty confident I can find someone who knows how to work on a sporty engine... |

It seems to be hit or miss with the 1125's. My 08 R has 26,000 miles on it and has been relatively trouble free. My brother has over 50,000 on his 08 R and the only major issues was the water pump seeping, output shaft seal leaking and a voltage regulator going out. In comparison to the X1's and S3 in the stable it has been less maintenance. Finding someone who knows how to work on it could be tough. I have done all of my own maintenance with the factory service manual and haven't run into any issues I couldn't handle. |

I have pretty much all the years covered in my "collection" and the 1125 is pretty easy to work on IMO. I haven't had anything go wrong that I couldn't figure out yet. Like Chris said usually all you have to do is ask around on the boards and you will get the info you need. |
