I can do it myself in less than 2 hrs. I don't think it should take more than an hr. |

I agree with Dave. I just got a quote from my dealer for $126 to do both front and rear. That equates to about 2 hours total -- including balance. Steve. |

$126??? I got my rear tire swapped out the other day at the Honda shop for $22. That was with the tire removed. |

Im thinking Im going to invest in a front and rear stand (pit bull) for my bike so that I can take the wheels off the bike for tire swaps. I just paid 130 bucks to have some race tires put on for 1 track day. Yeah, I was miffed. Shame on me for not asking what it would cost me first though. Never thought I would pay 130 bucks just to have some tires swapped out. |

Sounds hoggish I'm soon in a spot to change both tires this season. I can see $10 on balancing. I had a garden tractor with a flat once. Bought a new tire couldn't & get the old one off. DING ! SURE WHY NOT. I got the circular Skillsaw and buzz cut it off in 30 seconds. It smelled a little hot but I got the new tire put on fast and CHEAP at a tire dealer. WalMart mounts and balances and warranties NEW Car tires for $9.95 $130 nah, I'll shop around. Glad I saw this before I rolled into HD with tires on my back. |

Frank the $130 is with the wheels still on the bike. I was quoted $75 if I brought in the wheels off the bike for both,if I bought the tires there. I didn't ask what the cost would be for not their tires however since I already had a quote for $47.95 for both at a non-HD dealer. That included balancing.

I get em mounted at a local indy shop that charges me about $20 per tire if I bring the wheels in. They do it while I wait & usually takes no more than a half hr total. |

If the wheels are on the bike, the front tire change should be 1/2 hr. so what ever labor charge is thats it. here that would be about $35 total for mount and balance a front tire |

Austinrider has the right idea. Invest in front and rear stands. Take the wheels to CycleGear or your other aftermarket tire store and they'll change them while you wait for about $15 each. If you are there 30 minutes, that'd be max. You'll save the price of the stands with 2 tire changes. |
