I have ordered a new Penske shock for my X!.
I am 220 lbs and would like to know what would be a good fork upgrade to match the quality of the shock.

Were it me, I would contact Race Tech and let them know what I was looking for. They can re-do your forks to your specs.

New springs might be enough. Race Tech has a spring rate calculator on their site. You can still add valving changes later.
Might also consider low-stiction seals, and the extra-slick bushings. Still fairly cheap upgrades, and every little bit helps.

Anyone have the instructions for adjusting the compression and rebound so I can get the forks back to stock?

springs and valving are like parallel development tracks, they are both based on your weight and riding style. I would suggest gpsuspension.com for your fork upgrade. gpsuspension valving compares well with to Ohlins. I had the Race Tech Gold Valve before I found out about gpsuspension.com

you won't be disappointed.

Instructions should be in your owners manual - not as precise as XB books, but still gives you a good idea of how to baseline your settings.

Bought the bike used with no owners manual.
