Just visited House of Cars and Cycles in Tulsa, OK. They have a white SX available to test drive. Very nice people ... they know Danny Eslick very well, and even have some of his trophies on display. Very small shop ... mostly deal in used Harleys and nice cars. |

South Bay Triumph in the LA SoCal area has recently updated their website to mention EBR and show a red RX along with the new Norton and Royal Enfield. This is a performance oriented shop that can build race motors or hot rod street bikes. The dealership has a few SX's on the floor with one as a demo. The demo ride, I'm told, includes some twisties around Palos Verdes and a stint on the local freeway to get an idea how the bike handles those situations. They've moved to a bigger location and seems like a good place to deal with. |

Dealer list has been updated to include NRHS in Colorado. There's also a 2nd dealer in North Carolina now, East End Motorsports in Swannanoa. Those are the only 2 changes that catch my eye but there may be others. |

Cool to see NRHS getting involved. They were my spot of choice for mods to the 1200 sportster engine. |

Cold, rainy Sunday morning here, so I updated the dealer map.
Interesting, we now have 74 dealers in the US, that's 5 more than the last time I updated in August, and that's including some losses. They now have 14 international dealers listed, or 15 counting the European HQ in the Netherlands. That's 89 world-wide, which seems like a pretty good start for the first year of real operation. |

Thanks for the catch. Updated map, and I guess we have 73 dealers, 4 more than in August.

Its wierd but EBR appears to be doing much better internationally than in the states in terms of sales, just based on facebook check ins. |

Our local dealer is sending the EBR's back- he's had zero EBR sales in eight months. He added Ducati a month ago, and has sold eight of them already. He likes EBR, but says they're taking up valuable showroom space (BMW dealer). Truck is supposed to pick them up this week... sad to hear. |

I'll bet there is more to this . . . . . That would be pretty unusual. I think the EBR products are moving painfully slowly . . . but, sending back your inventory is something, in nearly 30 years in the business, I've not heard of. We know for a fact that the dealer makes more difference than the dealership. Witness, Dave Steuve who turned a sleepy Iowa dealer into a "couple Buells a week" center of the sales universe with folks flying in from all overt the world to buy from him. I make it a point to silently slip into as many dealerships as possible. Frankly, I wish I had the power to load the inventory, in a couple, up and take it with me. But the bike is really a marvelous piece of machinery and should, in the proper hands, sell well. I think there are problems, as evidenced here and in other venues, at several levels. But, I am confident they'll get sorted out. I'd be curious as to what steps this dealer took, if any . . . before taking this extreme step. |

Ducatis pretty well sell themselves, especially to Ducati owners. EBR needs a very active sales force. People for the most part don't know what they are and why they are actually a good buy. We had a dealer in Houston who claims that there was no OEM sponsored financing for the bikes until August, but if I'm in the business of selling bikes I would let a customer because I couldn't find him a finance option. They also sell Ducati, Aprilia and now MV out of that shop. Good guys all but, they didn't learn enough about the bikes to really sell them head to head in that crowd. They eventually dropped EBR as well. It wouldn't take but a well done, "so who is EBR and why do you want one" sales demo on youtube to answer a ton of questions. Something better that this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCk7HGkixp8(though I the effort) with more meat on the technology and and not all gravy like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al_hMeRqSVg or this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJX8NRZU8rw But what do I know I just ride them as a hobby, I don't sell them for a living, so I could be wrong. |

What Dealer in Florida was that? I visited one in Jacksonville that was a BMW and newly minted Ducati dealer, and their EBR presence was wretched. They had two bikes, an sx and rx in what appeared to be their storage area. Both heavily covered in dust. I walked in wearing an EBR polo, and one of the salesman, wearing Ducati swag asked me if I was from EBR, I said no, just a fan and owner. He then just turned around and went back to looking at a used 1199 they had. After a few minutes looking around a different guy finally told me they had some EBR bikes downstairs. No shirts up no hats no signs nothing. I was disappointed, and I didn't think they deserve to be a dealer. Then I went and visited Ton Up in jax and met a great bueller. |

^ Sounds worse than the Buell/HD days at the worst Buell/HD dealers. It would be interesting to know how the dealers that are really trying to sell the bikes are doing. |

I checked the dealer list today for the first time in a while. They're now up to 7 dealers in California (up from 5). |
