Does anyone know of the power commander model and model number that will work with a XB9 and if any maps are available. My local tuner can't find anything in his books. |

83803-211 BUELL X1 Lightning You'll want a shop that can create a map for you though, and like Dyna said, it might not give you any real gains without other motor work. |

I am putting a Latus or Jardine on now and plan on a nallin 1050 kit and maybe some head work at the end of the season. |

You could always put a carb on it - talk to Dave from Waterloo about his. |

Sounds like a lot more work than the rest of us are up for. The carb install that is. |

With the 1050 kit and the headwork you would probably benefit from a PC, but you will need a good shop that will map it for you. You might want to wait until after the motor work and see if a better product specifically for the XB hits the market. |

I noticed that the power commander pcIII is being discontinued and I can pick one up for less than $100. K&N doesn't seem to interested in Buells as they are in Jap inline fours. They won't even sell you an air or oil filter. |

K&N apparently has an agreement with Buell to produce the filters in the race kit - thus, they probably have as part of that agreement a clause that they cannot sell those filters except through Buell/HD for a certain amount of time. |

ya get the K&N from the dealer.. 100 for a PCIII is good. finding a good shop to tune it will be the problem. a fellow badwebber sent me his map made by fast by feracci, and I loaded it. BIG difference from the map that came with it from NRHS. the nallin map made 78hp, FORCE claims to have my pipe done in a week and then I will dyno it again with the feracci map. |

Did it make more or less power with the Feracci map? Just curious. |

Buellgator, where the map was done in PA is damn near close to sea-level, so I think it would work fine in sunny Florida - assuming the bike's mods were the same. I believe Misato had it right as far as the mods. I wish Misato would dyno his to see what gains he got over the Nallin crap-map. |

SOON!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could dyno the MOTHERF*&ER no pipe=no bike, sense NOV 03... they (force) said to look for my pipe this week in the mail... nice to pay for a loan and insurance for 5 months on a bike you dont have, plus now its out of warranty -anyway, thats a different thread.. I even have a free dyno run waiting for me |

Thanks Misato and Bucknut! I haven't got a Force pipe, but I figure this is a better starting point than an X1 map... we'll see.

Misato, you sure that's the right file? The file extension is .unk wtf is that I wonder? If I rename the file to *.map, I can open it with the Dynojet software, but it's got a lot of junk in the other tables. Plus, whe I zero them, the software takes a dump, and crashes. It looks like the numbers are ok on the aap table. Confused... |

Nice Map! Feels like I gained about 5HP throughout, pulls nice & runs clean. I've been running the PCIII with just the button adjustments. That was an improvement but this map makes an even greater improvement over that. Mods I have are: K&N filter Latus Muffler (stock ECM) PCIII w/HiPo O2 sensor Will be installing the XB12 airbox lid soon. Thanks Bucknut!!!!! |

Could some one give me a ballpark figure for an O2 sensor and a PCIII? Can you run a PowerCommander with a race ECM? Thanx |

Hi, I have been reading the board for the last year and have not felt like I had to post before but I was changing the plugs in the xb9r with the race kit and 12r air box installed. The plugs had too much white powder indicating it runs a bit lean... Would a power commander or techlusion box help!?! If the plugs look lean like this I know the bike isn't making as much power as it could. Anyone have any ideas? thanks -Marc |

Lean is one thing OILY is another, You might just need some tuning done and check for any gasket or air leaks. More gas and a proper fuel mix will give you a better boom. Throwing money at a problem sometimes doesn't make it go away. It can multiply and give more headaches. Work with what you have first, then change it if you have to. |

A PCIII or Techlusion box will fatten up the mixture, but like Frank said, look for an air leak or other causes first. You can get it run up on a dyno with an air sniffer and see what it's doing also. If you checked the plugs after a long period of idling it can be deceptive too. To answer the original question, you can get a PCIII and Hipo O2 sensor for between $180-429, depends on how you shop. |

Will this map work on a 2000 X1, with Force Pipe, Hi-Performance O2 sensor and K&N with stock ECM? If not do you know of anyone that has a map that matches that set up. |
