Wow! Good to see everybody yesterday!!! We were really surprised at the number of BRAG members who showed up to help out! Wish I had some pics but Sparky, Loli, Sunny had some taken. Congrats to Jeff and Sparky for winning the Team Lavin-Yurassov Crew shirts! (and thanks for all their help in the burger crew) Man-oh-man! I never inhaled that much BBQ smoke before and Tim was doing all the BBQ-ing - I was just helping take orders (along with the rest of the crew) Loli was there from the start helping the whole shooting match but more than anything else, keeping the $$$ going in the right direction. Al and JoAnne Lighton - American Sport Bike - were totally cool, pitching in to help - and poor Joanne with her Key Lime pies and Caroline put in about 2 days of kitchen work to make some awesome bake-sale treats - only to hear all the mumbling about Atkins diets and sugar... and boy do we have a TON of cookies, pies and cakes left over!!! Weather was gorgeous - the custom car show and bikes were totally impressive. We'll maybe have some bucks toward the war chest after paying the bills. Thanks to everybody who came out and who bought some burgers, dogs and sodas. Now that we've finally met Al and Joanne, I am excited about the future for American Sport Bike. Al is a true enthusiast and with his background in design engineering, we're going to start to see some pretty cool stuff coming out of American Sport Bike in the future! Feeling a touch guilty today as if we have spent the day begging for racing funds but surely appreciating all the support. We've been given permission to keep a jar down at Glendale HD with a sign and a supply of team patches on hand to sort-of use as a running fundraiser. Hope all of you can come up to Pahurmp on Memorial weekend to the BRAG track day. That will be a discount to BRAG members and guests. Todd Robinson - http://www.sportbiketracktime.com is giving a dedicated instructor to every 10 riders that sign up through BRAG - meaning that if you eliminate those of us NOT using the instructors services, you'll probably have a 5-to-1 student-to-instructor ratio!!! If you haven't had a track experience yet, you really ought to give it a shot - and tell your friends. Candy has all the sign up info - email her at 2whlnut@sbcglobal.net - for the forms or give her a call at 661-274-1096 This track day is not exclusively BRAG-only but we're going to fill about half the slots the way it looks and you do not have to be a BRAG member to participate, you can be a guest to get the discount. IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE A TRACK DAY YET, YOU GOTTA, JUST GOTTA DO IT! (sorry to miss the ride today) edited by slaughter on February 29, 2004 |

Anybody up for a Palomar or Borrego Springs Run this year? Or re-do some other fabulous adventure we've done in the past? We got to let SCAB, Temecula Road Warriors, San Diego Street Fighters & So Cal BRAG (Biggs HD/B) clubs know what we want to do. So Cal Club meets this Thursday at Bobby’s Restaurant in Carlsbad at 7 pm to discuss rides for this year. Everyone's invited. If you didn't get Nelson's email, the address is 4901 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, Ca. Directions from North: I-5 South to SR-78 East. Exit El Camino Real South. Bobby's is about 3 miles on the right, after Tamarack. We will be driving down, leaving LA area around 5 pm. If anybody needs a ride, email me. Sparky |

I would do one of those nifty link things here, but I'm not sure how, yet. -right click on the pic -click "Properties" -highlight the pic URL in the Properties window and right click -click "Copy" -paste the URL in between the brackets in the following command: \ imagelink{} (note: you can't have a space between the "\" and "imagelink{}" like i have above -- had to do it here so the text would show up in the post instead of this: -voila. Sooo... Who is going to the AMA races in Fontana in a couple weeks? I have not gotten my ticket yet but I'll be there Sunday. I might even show up at the kick off party at the Steakhouse in Ontario on Thursday night, if work doesnt kill me too bad that week. |

I will definitely be there, but not sure when, or if on my bike or with my son in tow. But I wouldn't miss it. Unless it was supposed to be a rainy weekend (yea, right). Al |

Cool, I'll buy you guys a beer if I can find you... I dont know how I'm getting there either, I may bring my daughter and the Jeep but if she does not want to go I'll be on the M2. I've never been to a superbike race before, so I'm exited. I am following this season really closely, hoping Eric does well on that 999 in Superbikes. I cant wait to see the XB's in Formula Extreme |
