Reep, You got me curious, so I looked at the CL ad. The round thing looks like a cup holder sitting on top of the wires from the trickle charger. |

The market is soft for Buells and its near the end of riding season for many riders. Clean low mile XBs & 1125s can be had for a great price with some looking. I'm waiting for a can't-say-no-to priced '08-'10 Ulysses like yours or Courts. DAve |

There ya go . . mine's here and in dandy shape. If you can find one cheaper with 7k miles . . . jump on it. |

Your bike and price is nice for someone looking for a Uly in Ohio to park in the garage over the winter and ride in the spring. It's very fair. It's not "do anything to find the money to buy it and jump in a plane to go get it and who cares if it sits in the garage for 4 months before I ride it" pricing though. |

Lots of X & XT Ulys out there for sale at fair prices. No offense to anybody but...sometimes one needs to look past a Walmart price to get a select machine. If it's ultra cheap you want...go to the junk yard. |

It isn't a "new thing" either. In 2008 or so, I bought a 2007 Uly in good shape with hard side bags and 10k miles on it for $5000. Cincymachine's bike is $1000 nicer than the one I bought then, no doubt. If somebody wants one, its a decent deal. It's not the kind of deal that will make somebody who doesn't want one buy it. For $4000, I'll be there by tomorrow afternoon with a cashiers check. |

2007 engines are notorious time bombs and that is why you paid what you paid. Can't compare that bike to any 08-up Buell. Both of these owners are asking LESS THAN the KBB suggested retail...and that is before adding $$$ for their low mileage and accessories...or should those items be included for free? Your offer is way below wholesale. Something tells me you aren't going to attract too many Uly sellers with your $4k check. |

You would be surprised But seriously, don't come on the forums low blowing people... That hurts more than you think cause this is public domain... Joe Schmoe from googling uly can come on here and see people are paying less... then they tell friends... Now you have everyone low balling sellers, dragging prices down. You should know this Reep! As far as an XT... Blahhh. Get an X with bags! Yes 08+ is far "superior" to older models but they all can fail. If you want to low blow people stick to C list tho. I agree the the buell market is in shambles. My opinion: Hold out for more $ |

Reep, If you gotta have a cheap X, I have access to an 07 with 55k miles on it w/3(police style)bags & mounts, Corbin seat, K&N filter and near new tires. Is this worth $4k to you? Condition is representative of the miles. This may be your lucky day! |

RBuck, that was not the case in 2008 when it was purchased. It may not be the case now either (we are gathering pretty detailed stats), but for sure it wasn't effecting value back then. All that was known then was that the 08's had an improved oiling system, and worse fuel injection maps. And since then there have been a number of 08 and later bikes selling for $5k regardless. |

Yes. $4k is my "add a second Uly when I already have one sitting in the garage" trigger price. If I didn't already have a Uly in the garage, I would have offered CincyMachine $5k, hoping he would come back with a $5500 counter offer, three months ago when he first listed it. There are five ways you can change if a bike isn't selling. 1) Change where it is located to gain a larger number of potential buyers 2) Lower the price 3) Offer more with the sale 4) Keep waiting to gain a larger number of potential buyers 5) Market it better to gain a larger number of potential buyers All of these options take money (given that time is money). Every time I have sold a used bike, I picked the fair price I thought it was worth, cut 10% from it, listed it for that, refused an early offer for about 20% below what I listed, suffered idiots and fools for almost a year, and finally sold it for about 20% below what I listed. But maybe that's just me. Like I said from the start, if you want an 08 or later Uly for a fair used retail price, and you are in the Ohio area, this is an obviously good choice. I'll be happy to go look at it if somebody wants to consider a fly and ride. I have no affiliation with the seller (other then potentially annoying him by turning his for sale thread into yet another debate on used bike prices ). Heck, I'd even do $3k and a trade for a running 2007 with cycle-rama ported heads and 30k miles, a salvage title, and some kind of mystery rattle that doesn't appear related to anything that spins and that certainly doesn't hurt performance. I'll even leave on the heated grips for that price, and you can keep the nice clean bags and top bag and I'll keep my war torn side cases. |

On mine . . . I simply don't ride it and I hate to see the damn thing set. I figure about $6,500 is right for a 2008 with all the bells, whistles and updates in good condition with the lowest mileage of anything that's appeared here in a long time. But . . . I WANT to sell it not NEED to sell it . . . so . . like the #1 Buell bicycle hanging above it and the quite famous S2 (which I'd also love to sell but the motor is worth more than most S2s) . . . it also makes nice furniture. |

Feel free to do the same on my ad. Oh....you already have ...cool. Folks thrive on choice and, with your $6,100 price, you may generate some traffic. Fact is .... It's a damn soft market. |

Cincymachine I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to make the Quote work but you asked why your not getting any offers .I'll be honest I bought an 08'XT with 30k on it all the service is up to date needs a front tire the back is new and a windscreen plus the bracket for the luggage for 3k the market is awful for sellers in the fall. This is when people like me who buy and sell bikes buy them then in March I start looking for new owners, and by September I'm looking for more bikes.Though I'm keeping the Uly it took me 2yrs to convince my friend he really wanted a Honda Sport Bike.Don't tell my wife. |

I'll give it a bump. Had 32k on mine and all up to date. Market was soft and I needed the cash. I gave it away. And I miss it. |
