Another successful Southwest Buell Rally completed. Great riding, socializing, and talking about the next rally and the next EBR. |

Thanks for letting me tag along. I enjoyed the roads there. Was good to meet some more Buellers who actually get out and ride: ~) wish I had more time to get out and see more roads. Good group of people on this ride. Hope to see some of you again. Nice to see another tuber as well. |

I got back to Tucson and realized I didn't take one photo the entire weekend. Not sure what's up with that. |

I recently finished a long ride down the I-25 and I-10 slab from Denver to Tucson during 13-15 August with a breakdown in Santa Fe. Voltage regulator and stator. As I prepare for the return ride, the plan is to go back via the Devil's Highway (old US 666, now US 191) from Clifton up to Springerville, AZ then over to Santa Fe for the first overnight. I am interested in any opinions or suggestions for US 191 or other routes going back from Santa Fe to Denver. Riding solo, as usual, and am praying for no more breakdowns. Love my Uly but we have had some unpleasant times on the side of the road. Heading out on 19 SEP. Thank you in advance. |

Troy, The quickest way for you to get to 191 would be I10 east past Benson to 191 north through Stafford, then Clifton and morenci. 191 north past the mine and up to alpine. From alpine, if you're not in a hurry, take 180 east into new mexico,to hwy 12 and reserve, NM. Continue east to hwy 32 north to quemado this is a fun, curvy road. Then north on hwy36 to hwy 117 which will take you to I40. Head east into Albuquerque. You are welcome to overnight at my place if needed. Bart |

Well, that's a good deal. I also suggested the Alpine-Reserve-Quemado route. He's still got a couple of days to plan it out. Bart: what's going on? Any big rides planned? |

Still wanting to ride 191 end of the month. Kelly bailed so I'm probably going to ride by myself. Riding the enchanted circle next weekend. Fall colors are in full bloom |

Let me know the dates for 191. I may be able to pull it off. I'm starting to resent the price of gas. I went out for a day ride the other day and I spent like $25 on gas. That may not sound like a lot, but I feel like it is. Considering the mileage these bikes are getting (or are supposed to get), there were entirely too few miles done for the gas I spent. And with lunch, too? It just adds up and bugs me that going out for a day or a weekend of enjoyment is costing so much. /end rant. |

If you ride slower, it will last longer, and ultimately cost less. Just saying...

Bart, Thank you for the suggested route and hospitality. I am leaving Tucson sometime Friday (19th) and heading into Alpine to stay at the Tal-WiWi lodge. The next morning I will head out for Santa Fe via the route you recommended (picture below).
I appreciate your help and the offer of a place to stay. I am in Santa Fe for the night of the 20th if you would like to get together for a beverage or something. |

Dude... It snowed? I can do it this Saturday. But I have to work Friday and Sunday. The following weekend I'm working and the one after that I'm in Albuquerque. |

Yep, it has snowed in the higher elevations already. Wolf Creek Pass, and Monarch Pass were both covered Tuesday evening. State Trooper said over the radio it's too early for that, but who can you argue with? |

ready to do 191? I can do it this Saturday. But I have to work Friday and Sunday. A-hem... Depending on how we do it, you could crash at my place in Tucson Saturday and ride home Sunday. Your call. |

Figured I'd show off my new toy even though it's not a Buell. New to me 2013 KTM 690 Enduro R. 17K miles. It's already been to Alaska! Has the Rally Raid EVO-2 aux tanks, Renasco Racing seat, Touratech stainless radiator guard, Cycra hand guards, Rally Raid front sprocket protector, CJ Designs rear stock gas tank filler cap, Rally Raid rear shock collar, 2014 stock exhaust, etc. Good times so far. |
