Hello everyone. It's been a while I know, and I let some things fall off. As some of you know I had some problems with my right arm. To make a very long story short... Knot on my right arm. MRI saw something but, no one could tell what it was. We were all in agreement it was getting bigger fast. Had a biopsy, that turned into surgery. Later on I "lost" my right arm from the shoulder down. Scary stuff. Doctor fixed me up. All this time I'm in big time pain, and feeling sorry for myself, and withdraw. Then one night an angel came and sat at the foot of my bed and said... "Dave, all we can do, is do the best we can with what we've got" Then she got up, and put the boys to bed. That's all it took for me to get off my ass and at least try to do something. Other than being sore, and my arm not always doing what asked (fine motor skills not 100%) I think I'm on the mend. I helped out at TWO for Stone Mountain HD/Buell and the Buell Demo Tour this past weekend. Everything was fine until I pulled it helping a fellow Bueller get his bike out of a ditch. But I'm OK this morning. So now I'm back to work, and back riding. And back on the BadWeb! Thanks to those that e-mailed me and wished me the best. |

Hey Dave. Take care of yourself. The Buell demo truck hits TWO and there is no mention of it on BadWeb. I'd have quit this stinkin job and gone back to Atlanta for that. How many demo bikes did they lose? |

Glitch, Good to hear you're on the mend..'cause ya KNOW it sucks trying to show people how to wheelie one-handed! Also, I'm contemplating designing-up some patches for our local BRAG club. Got all the "lawyer stuff" from BRAG regarding design requirements, but was wonderin' if you had any good advice/contacts for gettin' 'em made. Any help'd be appreciated! This last saturday I rode just 30 miles and had to park the bike and call it quits for the weekend. Bummer. The weekend before I rode 300 miles through the high desert and Ferrisville and did somewhat ok. Nearly sucked the fins off a couple of Harleys I went by going up China Grade. Cool. This is my second time to face an "affliction" that might sideline my riding. When I bought the Buell I decided to become a better rider and I still intend to. The road to recovery has its own twists & curves but determination & patience will get you to its end. Best Wishes for you Glitch |

When I first read your opening post, I thought you had an arm amputated. "Later on I "lost" my right arm from the shoulder down." Glad that isn't the case and you are on your way to recovery. What was the final determination on the cause?

It ended up being an infection in my lymph nodes. Said it could have been much worse if left untreated or caught later. |
