Thanks Joe. Yeah I really wanted to see that red S2 of yours. Glad things are healing up well. Iam sure a few rides will happen again next spring/summer. Had a great time and Jolly was a great host. So much to do and ride tha I need to get back there for sure. |

Need to sort out the suspension a bit. New oil in forks/seals and possibly a TM rear shock. Got white Marchesinis coming with new rubber as well. Mikuni flatslide to go on soon too. This winter I will be sorting out the bags. Have wide and standard size covers. Just need them painted to match the silver. Never ending I tell ya but definitely worth it and fun. Love the bike. Awesome to ride. |

Dave and Jeff: I am very sorry I missed it. My professional life is crazy right now, it's a big and risky endeavor I have embarked on and there are not enough hours in the day. It's all coming together well and I see light at the end of the tunnel ( hope it's not a train ), but there is still a lot of work to do. Lets plan it again next year, I'll trailer down. I will have my S2 done by Summer 2015. I'm starting to bolt the engine back together today... |

Well I'm back. Rode the CR (hydraulic clutch) to work today. First couple gear changes gave a twinge...but after that it just felt GOOD to be back on 2 wheels! |

Update: Installed a Race muffler on the S2. Wow what a difference in acceleration. and jetting seems spot on. No hesitation at all from idle to rev limit in all gears. Installed a 2"ID to 2.5"OD connector to make it work. Oh....and the sound...Awesome. Throaty and definitely makes people look.

a few shots of the other side. Scored a heat shield recently. Still looking for a used corbin seat to recover. Changing fork oil this week as well. Have a set of white marchesinis to put on with new Michelins. Maybe tomorrow for some pics to see what the masses think between the white wheels and the PM's. Having fun with this bike/project.

I think the PMs really match the bike better than white Marchesinis but that's just me . Still a beautiful bike! |

Yeah I think your right Ross. So far two out of two think PM's. You and a guy at work. Took her out for a ride today. A 1250 kit with stage 2 heads and 42 flatslide would really light her up. |

Jeff, I'm trying to get my wheel swap done today. I have the 3 spoke wheels powdercoated white, new bearings, and valve stems, working on it right now. If I get it complete I'll shoot you a photo of white frame / white wheels to help you decide. I was up till 1:00 this morning cleaning all the scale of the 96 s1 motor, installing oil pump drive gear, collapsible push rod tubes and new oil pump gasket.... Got a slow start on the s2 wheels today.... |

I'm actually thinking of putting polished wheels on my S2T but I don't have the funds for PMs, and I like to be different anyway, so I may just polish my Marchesinis. Should look good with my polished caliper .

completed the wheel swap on the S2. the PM wheels will finally get cleaned up then probably mounted to the 96 S1 that I have been working on, then those marchessinis can be cleaned up and re-powdercoated...they are really trashed.. Ill take another photo when it stops raining and I can get the bike outside.

Looks awesome Dave. Really like the look of the white wheels on that blue. I think the white wheels look good with the white frame when you have a brighter or darker color bodywork. Don't think it will look as good on my silver or a grey bike. Good looking bike Ross. |

Actually thinking of getting another S2 and making it into an S2T. Only problem is I would probably sell the S1W. I don't ride it much and if I had another S2 I probably wouldn't ride the lightning at all. |
