I have been unable to locate any front fairing bags for the S2. Does anyone have an old ratted out set I can use for a pattern? |

Are you looking for the one's with the old Pegasus embroidered in blue? They were made by a company in Topeka, KS. Not sure where or if they've been tossed (interestingly enough, I have 2 guys moving 70 boxes of stuff stuff out of a 10' x 25 storage locker this week) but i think I have some. I'll let you know. |

I would love a set if you find some and are willing to part with them. Jolly, if you do make a pattern I would be up for joining in on the production run. |

I'd be interested in a set as well, my rescued bike has sat outside most of its life and mine are pretty weathered. |

If original bags are not available through Court I can dig up a couple of bags for the pattern. I thought of doing the same once, and went as far as seeing the logo was no longer a registered trademark (note I'm not a professional trademark lawyer, but it seemed clear to me). I'd be in for a few sets. And just in case: Court, PM sent. |

I dunno what the cost for Loren of Baldwin Motorbike Saddles to make them would be, but I know he was down to make some replacements for me in the past, when I had my last S2. That may be an option as well. |

Well there is definitely INTEREST !!! I've got a great connection, they made me a set of bags with orange emblems for my S3 so going to use them again for this if Court doesn't have any. Since the trademark logo issue has already been researched.... Looks like the pegasus emblem can be done as well. By the way, Loren does OUTSTANDING work, very high quality!!, just had not yet chatted with him abou this project since his business and focus is seats and I have already worked with another company on this type of stuff, but Loren really does a great job!!! Phelan has some faded bags he is going to donate to the cause, it will take a little time to get this all put together but I will start working it as soon as I can. Thanks Phelan! I'll PayPal for shipping today, send the bags after you get settled from your move. Does anyone have a JPEG of the old emblem? |

Do you have it as an .eps file? If so . . it'd be REALLY cheap to get these made. Frankly . . . if it were me . .absent any other options . . . I'd have Aerostich made them out of leftover material. |

Unfortunately not. I found this on google, whom found it on this site. You might ask Eeeeek, as he's the one who made it (the image). He hasn't been on in a couple months though. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/496 363/132878.html?1124295289 (Message edited by phelan on August 27, 2014) |

I doubt it'd be a show stopper . . . I found a case of old Buell stationery last night and have tons of stuff from "those days".

Sent an email today to my "source". It's s place I used to visit in Turkey flying for the AF. Sounds extreme but I have already had custom bags made for my S3t back when I couldn't find any for that bike. It will take a bit, but I expect success on this. I will keep you all posted. phelan will be sending me bags to use as patterns later next week, so......process started. I also checked locally and can obviously get them done here in town but the cost is 3 times what I expect from the shop in Turkey, |

I don't need a set of these ( I have a set) but if I were in the market, I would be willing to pay more for ones made in the US. Just saying. |

Shop is a military friendly great supporter, and they do have a US located representative, so not. "Made" in China, US sourced from a company started in Turkey to support all the G.I.s traveling through the region. Ever been? Beautiful country side! Oh the local place I checked today was..... Owned by Middle East foreigners that wanted three times as much.... But hey made in the basement of a shop here in the US.... I have had the great fortune of flying all over the world in my 27+ years in the USAF and have some great memories of foreign lands and people....and don't mind reaching out to contacts I have made for things like this... Just saying.... |

No, never been to Turkey. I was a west coast sailor. Would love to go. There and Hungary. Before the soviets destroyed everything, the region produced the 'king of wines'. It's beginning to recover. And the food is amazing. Not to mention the architecture and the history. |

Jolly, Did you get the pattern you were looking for? FWIW, Court's suggestion to try Aerostitch *may* have been a clue to where they were made before. I don't know that, but sometimes those statements have greater depth than you might realize. |

>>>Court's suggestion to try Aerostitch *may* have been a clue to where they were made before. Negative. As I started in an earlier post . .2nd from the top of this page . . . they were made by a company on 29th Street in Topeka, KS. |

I didn't realize they were still around. They likely have, buried in their files, all the original patterns and art files. They also did the thermoforming S3 bags..... I think Someone should contact them about a small run. These things should be fairly inexpensive. |

Spoke with a representative from the company, they are going to look through their files to see what they have. if I had the original order number it would be helpful.. they are going to look into this, but said they may have been sub contracted to a company in Asia... (so even the originals my not have been made here in the US...)..if there were made in Asia its not something they are willing to bring back. the only way they are going to be able to do this is if they were made in house and they still have the patterns and cutting dies. I'm working this on two other fronts as well, one way or another there will be new bags at the end of this bunny trail.... |
