OK Is the 1125R a street bike that's OK on the track, or, a track bike that's OK on the street? Mines never seen the track, likely never will. Have made changes to make it more comfortable for me. Power train and suspension are all stock. | ||

The answer to your question is subjective. It depends on your use on the street. If you ride below 40 mph, as you do in the city, it's a horrible bike. The low speed stop light to stop light power and smoothness is non-existent. Add to that, battery charging issues and overheating of both coolant and air box, the riding is abysmal at best. Even creature comfort is affected, as a certain amount of speed is required to create enough air pressure on your chest to relieve handlebar pressure. All of those issues go away above 40 mph, so it's your personal assessment in the end. The 1125 is a superb sport bike. It is not a city cruiser nor was it designed to be so. | ||

Steve+1 The 1125 likes to go fast! Rode mine street and to commute to work for about a year. Freeway speed in 3rd gear and dealing with city traffic got old (although I did have a race ECU and exhaust on it at the time, so it was fun catching WTF looks when you came by the usual twin riders). I do have access to canyons nearby and it was great there. Converted to dedicated track/race bike in 2010 - that's where it thrives for me. The XB is a better 'streeter', IMO. It really is subjective - do both and enjoy! | ||

The 1125 is more street able than any liter bike I have owned. But as afore mentioned the xb is more street able than the 1125. | ||

All of the above. my 96S1 is my city bike. the CR is purely for open road. |
