Hey Guys, Just wanted to let everyone know that the Buell name BadWeb site are represented well in the CMRA races. I think several of these guys will be in the winner's circle VERY SOON. Marcus edited by Marcus McBain on March 17, 2004 edited by Marcus McBain on March 17, 2004 |

Thanks Marcus My finishes were:- Formula 2 - 5th Lightweight Twins - 12th Heaveyweight Twins - 4th D Superstock - 10th CMRA Formual heaveyweight - 9th I was a little dissapointed with my lap times and finish positions, but I guess the lack of track time, a fuel map with a huge hole at 5K and a surface that was a little slippery all contributed. However, I had some great battles in the races. Stuffing and Aprilia RSV at 4 consecutive corners but getting burnt on the straights between before he finally got tired of my front wheel and let me go, put a huge grin on my face. Rodney Scott (XB12) and Toby Leslie (XB9) were both riding well. I think we will all do better at Oakhill on April 4th where the HP advantages matter less. Hey Blake, are there such things as Badweatherbikers.com stickers - I have some spare space on my plastic ? Mark

Great Job Mark. Considering the rains that happened on Saturday Im really surprised there werent more red flags. That track has some drainage issues in my opinion. Was the water still seeping out of the straights before turn 1? Are you still going to the March 29th Buell event at TWS? |

PICS!?!?!?! How do you get to run both heavyweight and lightweight twins? As a heavy weight are you allowed to race in the lightweight class due to being less then 1000cc? |

I get to race both Light and Heavyweight twins due to a loophole in the rules. Lightweight air-cooled twins limit is 895cc to accommodate H-D Sportsters, otherwise its all SV650‘s and Aprilia 250‘s. There is a footnote to the rules that allows any D Superbike legal machine in as well. The XB9 is also too big for D Suberbike stated cc limits, but get in under a footnote specifically allowing XB9’s to race in the class. Its only a matter of time before someone objects - Like at the next race when a get a place on the podium - and I’ll have to fight a battle off the track. HW twins is simpler - unlimited air-cooler twins. Needfor - Was yours the sweet looking black M2 on the back of a pick-up in the paddock ? 119 edited by englishman119 on March 18, 2004 |

I fought long and hard to get the Buell XB's into D Superbike/Superstock. They'll have to start dominating all the SV's (highly unlikely) before CMRA think about changing that rule. RRW took a stock SV650, did some headwork, added pipe and jetting and race intake and race gas... 90RWHP. There is absolutely no justification for moving an XB9 into C-Superstock/Superbike against the 650cc IL4's. I guess I hadn't told you, you owe me bro... Blake presses the CMRA rulesmakers for fairness in classing Buells. Stickers... yeah, we should have some stickers soon. Been saying that for five years now. Congrats on the 5th place. Seems you and Toby have some rivalry building. Go git'im Mark! See you on April 4th at OHR. The ole Cyclone will have to show you the way around. heheheh Give Keith hell, he's not planning to race the sprints on Sunday. Got it into his head that he is some kind of RRC specialist now. Punk! |
