Do ya'll think it could be possible for the VR to fry the stator even though I'm not getting spikes on the output voltage? Upgraded rotor and rewinded stator but stock VR. Got about 100 miles out of new stator and I'm a little upset about the issue. No biggie though, I have this board and the love of the 1125r to keep me pressing on the bike. I am ordering the CE605SB as soon as roadstercycles gets them into stock and getting a new stator wound right now. Just wanted to see if ya'll thought that is possible. I'm just going out on a whim and hoping I wont burn another stator. HD harness is removed btw. Thanks ahead of time. |

sounds like a bad VR or a bad re-wind check the harness before re-install good luck |

New reg and removed the hd harness. Sits at 13.8 unless I'm sitting in traffic for awhile then it drops to 13.5 |

Here is where I put mine. Made a bracket out of galvanized sheet metal and painted it.

Is there any issue with installing a VR where it is more exposed to the elements and road grime? Back under and behind the oil cooler seems like a good spot for it. |

If you use tg e ce605b..it needs air flow. It dissipates heat through the heat sink..it doesn't shunt excess voltage to ground like tge oem one. |

You can see it gets a lot of road dirt 10,000 miles still ok |

As I am installing my 605SB voltage regulator, I wanted to ask a question regarding wiring. Concerning the wires coming from the 605SB VR that the instructions state should be run to the battery. I am wanting to wire these 2 wires into the original wiring on the 1125r (the black & red wire that the original VR is connected to). Is there any reason I cannot do this? |

I cut the plug off of my stock regulator and used that. |

I believe I am thinking the same way. I am going to use both of the plugs from the original VR (one plug is a 3 wire yellow, the 2nd plug is a two wire red/black). And wire the 605SB into the wiring using both of those plus. |
