Do these places exist anymore or is there anywhere to get scrap bike parts? I'm trying to find a junk ECM with a few inches of harness to make my own breakout box. From what I've been told I need an 08 or newer ECM to get the right connectors. Guess I was under the wrong assumption that they're all the same with just different pin usage. At any rate, it's sad to know that these bikes get wrecked or otherwise destroyed, but they must end up somewhere when they do. Does anyone know of a salvage yard or other outlet? |

It seems like ebay is the largest outlet for salvage parts these days. Some salvage yards advertise there. Even if you don't find an 08-up ECM and harness listed, you might try contacting some of the sellers and tell them what you're looking for. |

Sportwheels southwest of Minneapolis still advertises used parts. Been years since I've been there. Lusted after a MotoMorini 3 1/2 basket case saw there once. Used to buy turn signals and mirrors cheap. Had acres of used/crashed bikes. Very sobering seeing the shape some of the bikes were in. Was also a site called www.crashdtoy.com where they auctioned insurance salvage bike. |

Griff, Here's how you do it. https://www.google.com/maps/search/cycle+salvage/@37.6,-95.665,4z/data=!3m1!4b1 There are others not shown because there is a cycle salvage in Ashland, NE and it isn't shown. Blow up the map and then enter cycle salvage and here it is https://www.google.com/maps/search/cycle+salvage/@41.5008195,-99.680902,7z/data=!3m1!4b1 |

There is a place called Buellster Parts that carries new and used parts, never used them so I can't give you any recommendation. http://www.buellsterparts.com/main.sc |
