i learned my lesson on carbon fiber mufflers.. i had a V&H one on my X-1...the CF started to get funky and i tried to get a fix from the maker...v&h told me that cf was not designed to be durable, just to look pretty...for what its worth... |

I use to ride with a guy who had a Borla slip-on on his M2. It didn't look exactly like the one shown in the e-bay link though; it had a different inlet and outlet. It seemed to be holding up fine, but it was less than year old when I knew the guy. My V&H is almost 8 years old, and it's been holding up fine for the last 45,000 miles. It's not totally stock (I shortened it and cut the 90 degree inlet off to work with a race header) so that may have have improved its durability. |

So, this post is 5 years old. I'm looking at a Borla CF on eBay for my'00 M2. Any regrets? |

Do any of you still have a Borla muffler? I'm wondering how, or if you mounted the front of the muffler to the frame/Y-hanger. I recently cracked my header (probably from poor installation) and want to make sure I don't stress the next header and muffler. |
