Just got this pic from LJM who's at the races today, showing the scene in Pegram's pits a few minutes ago. "Larry back shifted, blew motor. Was ahead of Geoff until then. Crew replacing motor."

Hugh, Thanks for posting that interview. It should end some of the uninformed speculation we see here. G |

So what does it mean that Larry's team can setup a bike to WSBK specs and score points, yet the Italian team cannot? Lucky? |

In a nutshell that interview said something that I have aways said about racing. If you want to learn how to go fast you need to race with the fast guys. Some friends said we ought to keep Cory in club racing for a while when we took him AMA racing, but his dad and I disagreed. |

No kidding. Of course, Larry had a fresh engine for race 2 while Geoff's had significant hours on it. One thing Erik mentions in the interview is that Ohlins did not have the cartridge assemblies in Laguna Seca that the EBR's determined they needed which meant their suspension setups were less than optimal. Maybe the setup they DID have worked better for Larry or maybe he's better at riding a bike with a sub-optimal setup? |

That was excellent Hugh! Thanks! http://speedcitypodcast.com/speedcast-84-eirk-buel l/ So nice to finally hear the thoughts of the man himself. I'm with him 100%, but still suspect that the team manager is a loser. We need an American ass kicker in charge. |

^I think it's likely something I still think it's utterly bizarre that we are having so many DNS How about Leon Camier making the top ten for MV! (Message edited by Jscott on July 13, 2014) |

Kawasaki $500,000 bike with 247HP against EBR 212 HP bike. It all makes sense now. Great interview Erik gave explaining the challenges. I liked his thoughts on the front brake issue. https://s3.amazonaws.com/SpeedCityPodcast/Speedcas t_84.mp3 |

The voice inflections sound like Erik, but he sounds like he just smoked an entire pack after screaming at the race all weekend... |
