I've had a Guzzi dangled under my nose so I need to raise some quick cash. 98 S1, twin tail, upgraded isolators, S1W header, Wileyco stainless canister, upgraded header mount, Corbin seat, Forcewinder intake, Napoleon bar end mirror, upgraded primary chain tensioner, polished cast swing arm, Buell Traction Grips, bar end weight, all sorts of stuff. Four issues: manta tank needs paint, possibly countershaft sprocket leak, rear master cylinder needs rebuild kit as it sticks, Storz license plate bracket cracked at one mounting hole. Roughly 18,000 miles, no weird noises, oil consumption, handing issues or problems other than mentioned above, a really nice bike. I put 14,000 miles on it after spending a few weeks totally going through it when I worked at Schoch's H-D as the Buell guy. Clean Title, of course. Located in the York, PA area, first two grand gets it. |

Aside from the tank it's pretty sharp. I need more of a two up touring bike to schlep the Mrs. around on so there it is. I don't want this to go to some chopper pinhead. You can see some other stuff: updated shift linkage, American Sport Bike frame brace, cut down cam cover, stuff like that. It's a good one. Another thought is a grand plus a nice Gibson: SG, Les Paul, Firebird, Explorer, that kind of thing.

Hahahaha . . . . tempting with a collection of SG's and an SG 12-string sitting here only miles away. Aarrrrgghhhhhhh. . . . |

An SG Standard (6 string) and a grand would do it. Just the thing for blasting past stalled traffic in NYC, I would imagine... If this Guzzi deal falls through I'm keeping it. No sense in being a complete idiot about things, after all. Court, If you want it I could meet you in Joisey with it when I pick up the Murder Greasy. (Message edited by SteveFord on July 11, 2014) |

I find a ES-335 is much better in Traffic. Unless it's Crosstown Traffic - then you want a Strat. |

True, SGs tend to splinter when you club them against something hard. I learned that from watching Pete Townsend. |

If it makes you feel any better, I rode my S1W to look at a green & red V11 Sport. After deciding the condition of the V11 was too rough for me, I took the twisty way home. By the time I got home, I was so in love with the Buell that I bought my S2 the next day (not kidding--I had the money and stumbled onto the S2 that night). |
