Alright, I've got a 1997 buell S1 Lightning. I've been having trouble getting it started. When I press the start button it does a rapid click click click from the starter. I know the clicking is the solenoid plunger bouncing up and down really fast. I've replaced the battery and the starter. I've also cleaned and tightened both the ground straps I could find. And I've checked both of the starter relays. I've also bench tested the new starter, and checked for good cranking amps and voltage out if the battery. All this and I'm still getting click click click. Any ideas suggestions? |

Bypass your switch, use a hot wire from the battery to the solenoid, If she cranks you either have a bad switch or bad wire leading to or coming from the switch. MM |

Got it! It was a bad connection. It was what one of the ground straps was attached to. |
