This is my third S2 and unfortunately I need to put it up for sale at my wife's request. This is an early vin (614) model. It is extremely clean (frame and components) with the usual early S2 fiberglass pimples here and there. It has 20,600 miles, starts and rides very smoothly. It has massaged heads, .497 SE cams, headlight and brake modulator, new rear master cylinder, New rear pads, Bolara carbon fiber exhaust, rear wave rotor, and many other small upgrades. It has been well cared for and shows it. There are a lot of neglected bikes for sale, this is not one of them. I am located in Burlington Vermont and can provide more details and photos upon request.

Looks like you got a good one. Congrats. I used Federated when I got Rhonda - a bit under $700 door to door. Probably half that for as far as you need to go. They have an AMA discount too. |

Yep. Thats the one They must charge about the same anywhere. Rhonda's journey was from Pennsylvania to San Francisco Bay Area and it cost that much. They did a good job and it didn't need to be crated - Jason just rode it to the depot and disconnected the battery. |

The interested party had difficulty with shipping and let me know today that he won't move forward. So, this S2 is still available to a good home. |

Just some info... Looks like a very nice bike, same as the second Buell I owned in 95...and I know what it is like, from both ends, to have a deal fall apart due to the cost of transport. Being in Atlanta, I purchased a motorcycle in St.Louis last year. The seller told me he had a guy that could deliver the bike to me for $350. After I gave him a $1k deposit, I found out that it was really $795 to ship the bike! I wanted the motorcycle so I rented a car, via Enterprise, one way, and by the time I got back to Atlanta it had cost me over $550 with hotels and gas. With these Buells being priced so low in the market that can represent over 10% of the purchase cost. What starts as a good deal becomes a purchase being reconsidered. I can only say for sure there are several bikes I would have purchased in these classifieds if it wasn't for the added cost of shipping. I am sure that is the way it is with a lot of other potential buyers for the bikes advertised here too. It would be nice if BWB had a motorcycle transport company as a supporting sponsor...but I have not found one...yet. Maybe it would help your sale if you locate a motorcycle shipping service in your area. That might prove to be a big incentive for the next guy interested in buying your bike. Good luck with the sale! |
