Been looking for this file, finally found it. This used to be posted regularly here, but it is severely out of date. Anyone interested in figuring how to update it? Shane |

It says at the top of the S2 page that Velocity is maintaining this...maybe his copy is newer than 4 years old? Or is it just abandonware? I seem to remember reading some stuff going back and forth over the S2 Registry - who had it, who shared the info, what was done for it....I thought Bartimus had it at one time. Now I just don't know. I know I sent Rhondas information to someone, but since the file attached predates my acquisition is an earlier version, she isn't here, either under my name or Jason's. I think the question was around whether it was a good idea to have this info in a public forum. |

I sent information on my S2T to Scott and he replied my information was added to the registry. That was in June 2014. I have not heard of or seen an updated list though. |

Why not put it in google docs? You can lock it down so only invitee's can view and or edit. If you add the edit option it could be self maintained? |

Yea, I started it over 10 years ago. I used to post the list about every 4 months or so, displaying only the owners screen name, and basic bike info . I turned it over to Frank who made it an "official" registry, and maintained personal info of the owner, and more detailed info of the bike. He stopped posting the list online, and after a few years, handed the list over to Velocity to maintain. |

I think it is pretty useless as a registry if we don't share it among S2 owners. |

I'm with Shane on this. There may be a reason that the decision was made to quit sharing the list, but as far as I'm concerned if I don't see it I have no reason to add to it. As a matter of fact, I don't remember if I've added beyond the first S2 I bought.... |

When I posted it, it was only the owners bad web name, year, color, and last four of the VIN. Pretty basic stuff, just a way of documenting the S2's out there. When I turned it over to Frank, he gathered much more information about the owners, and the bikes. Complete VINs etc. I believe that was his motive for not posting it anymore as it had too much personal information. Just my opinion, but it seemed to turn it into a secret society. Back in the day, it was nice seeing the list grow, and meeting other S2 owners. Maybe someone would be willing to cut back on the info and post a basic list, with minimal info like I used to do... |

Heres a crazy idea, start a new list. Just the basic information on a voluntary basis. I'm thinking last 4 of the vin, signature status, original color, present color and list of mods. So at least there is some kind of public tally. Heck I would even manage it. Just a thought. |

I know Frank personally, and he did a great job and made choices for very good reasons. I think if someone with the current list wanted to edit it down and make it a little less "potentially threatening" to the owners as far as information goes...go for it. It will make the list less specific as far as the reason Frank was keeping it - as a reference not only for "how many S2's are out there" but for "who can I contact if I need help with..." - but it would serve the simple purpose of tracking how many bikes are still alive and ticking. |

The version at the top is pre-Velocity. It is an Open Document Spreadsheet. You should be able to save the file and then open with MS Excel. (Message edited by essmjay on June 17, 2014) |

The version on the top, was the original version, that I had started and maintained. It would be easy enough to resurrect it, and use it as a simple online version that folks can view and add to. Also, still keep and maintain the Registry through Velocity. That was a lot of information that Frank had accumulated. Good to see Frank posting again, and congrats to you and Lynn (Message edited by bartimus on July 10, 2014) |

This thread has been quite for too long... I'm the new custodian for #845. It should be getting delivered by the end of next week from a fellow inmate. I'm excited to have it join the garage family with a bastardized S1W and fairly stock '98 S3T (purchased new in '99). |
