Hello all, Last year I had ECM issues (intermittent cutting out after longer rides because of seat pressure). I had difficulty finding a new ECM, and didn't want to buy the EBR, mostly because of price, but also because I wanted the ability to keep performing TPS resets. So, I bought an OEM ecm from a dealer, only to find out that you can no longer use older free (full) versions of ECMspy with the late year 07ecms (yes it is the appropriate 07 ecm for my 07 Uly). I am having the low speed 1500-3500 bucking and surging issues and I want to try the Treadmarks true zero procedure, but can't do it without a means of resetting the TPS afterwards. I really don't want to do it in the parking lot of the local HD dealer and tip a tech 20 buck plus a pizza to reset my TPS... So, are there any software options that I can use. Can Tunerpro be used to reset the TPS on an 07, late year ECM? I'm not familiar with Tunerpro, but have an older ECMspy and the USB connector. Thanks all, and let me know if you need any additional info! |

My copy of ECMDroid with the bluetooth adapter seemed to have all sorts of things for the 1125, so I expect it can handle a late 07 ECM just fine. If you still have your original ECM, there is a decent chance it is repairable. There are threads here on how to do it. |

TunerPro RT works on ALL Buell ECMs. Pain in the ass to get setup and running, but once you are configured it is amazing what it can do, including TPS resets. |

I can't find my ECMspy stuff, it was on an old computer I no longer have. But, it was a fairly old version of ECMspy, the only version I could find that had full functionality but didn't require the donation. If I by chance find it on a hard drive or something I'll post it for documentary purposes. For clarity, by late I mean it was for an 07, but the production date says 2010. My ECMspy wouldn't connect to the new ECM I had, and I had to take it into a dealer and convince them to activate it and set it up (which I thought was weird, because I had expected it to be plug and play, with a tps reset of course, as the original OEM ECMs were), hence the pizza... Meanwhile, I'm thinking it would be best to start tinkering with Tunerpro. I was hesitant last year because of the difficulty getting it set up. Reepicheep: I'm thinking now that maybe putting the old ECM in just for the sake of seeing if the Treadmarks zero solves my issue. But, of course that would involve me finding my old ECMspy, so I suspect Tunerpro it is. Thanks all, I will update if I get Tunerpro working and treadmarks solves my bucking to add to the scientific support! |

Yet another issue, apparently the drivers for the xopti cables don't work with windows 8. I'm not sure how this is possible, but am now interested to know if anyone has had any luck with getting the drivers to install and connect for the ECM connector cable on a windows 8 computer/device. |

Windows 7 and 8 automatically download the correct driver, just plug it in, make sure you have an internet connection, and it does the rest. |

I have been able to do all the 07 and even some 08 bikes with ECM-Spy-- the free version. With some 08 bikes it would not burn a map but would burn the eeprom so tuned them that way. And some I was able to load an earlier version of an 08 eeprom into them and then tune. Tunerpro won't show learned fuel area, and cannot read trouble codes, darn it! |

So, I discovered the incompetence on my end. Only Tunerpro RT has and option for data acquisition. That coupled with My interface not being recognized, it appeared to me that my interface was not working. Will attempt treadmark's true zero at some point this week and update, thanks again! Update: This is what I'm dealing with. Windows 8/8.1 are NOT supported in PL-2303HXA and PL-2303X EOL chip versions (straight from Prolific's website, and also mentioned on Xopti's website). Seems I have a chipset version in my cable that are not usable with windows 8. Kind of strange, considering I bought mine less than a year ago, and I'm just assuming, you all probably bought yours before then, so, I'm guessing I got hosed and sold an older product... will be trying to find a windows 7 device to borrow.
