I have seen a ton of posts here that ECMSpy will corrupt an EBR Race ECM... is that for anything or just if you are trying to change fuel maps and EEPROMS??? basically I am curious if it is safe for TPS Resets and pulling/clearing codes and monitoring only??? |

"I have seen a ton of posts here" Where? yep I'm rather new here (since August last) but I've not seen one of those posts that says ECMspy will corrupt anything. |

Yes, those posts were here, and I wouldn't touch an EBR ECM with any of the tools without a LOT of research first. I think some of the software can do it, but find an expert to help you (maybe xopti or froggy). |

Yes doing a TPS reset with ECMspy can corrupt the EBR ecm. It has to do with ECMspy not correctly writing to the ECM, it changes the wrong data. It is recommend to have your dealer perform the TPS reset. |

if all you're doing is pulling codes and doing a reset...this works great: http://www.erikbuellracing.com/store/parts-accesso ries/fuel-injection/cmi-lite-diagnostic-tool.html |
