Starts fine, 14.0ish voltage at idle, runs good other wise after a few min it loses the gauges, they still show some words but info does not show up. Also seems to take out the batter after a while. Im looking through this forum but everyone seems to have different variations of problems. Nothing like what I am experiencing. | ||

Sounds like a problem I have with mine. The instrument panel goes dark, lose turn signals. I had it to dealer many times while it was in warranty. They never cured it. I now ride with high beams on at all times, right at start. Doesn't happen. Or, when using heated jacket I can turn hi beams off. It wants a load. Or turn it off, wait a second and back on, hit the starter. May have to do that a couple of times as it seems to stop when fully warmed up. I got to where I wouldn't even slow down to do the restart. High beams always on is what I settled on. As always, results may vary. I'm just over the hill in Santa Cruz. | ||

Your voltage regulator is out. you're running it on high voltage, like anywhere from sixteen to twenty four volts. If you hate your bike keep riding it until it melts. Otherwise, I recommend a CE605SB. I wrote a how to guide on it. | ||

Yea it most likely is a voltage regulator failing, the cluster will shut off if the voltage spikes. A new stock one is plug and play, but a CE605 is a recommended upgrade but requires some work to mount and install. | ||

if I recall correctly it took me maybe thirty minutes. Also it improves the life of the stator... I recommend it | ||

Could be the voltage regulator relay failing. |
