Hello everyone, I have been having an issue with my 2007 Uly lately. I will start it up and let it warm up for a couple of minutes, get on it and be cruising along when it will sputter a little bit, then a couple seconds later it will sputter more and die if I keep giving it gas. It just stalls out while I am riding it. It will do it right around the 3500rpm range and it only does it when it is cold, usually the first half mile. I let it warm up for 15 minutes and it didn't do it at all. The last time it stalled I couldn't get it started again for a couple of minutes. The bike has 22,000 miles on it. I will mention the beginning of last year the fuel pump would keep priming when I turned the ignition on. I pulled it out to find chaffed wires(common problem, apparently) and I put heat shrink around them and haven't had a problem since. I am not sure if the fuel pump is finally going or not. So any help with this problem would be GREATLY appreciated. I really don't want to take it to the H-D dealer. |

Also, right before the bike stalls it will backfire and then die out. All the lights come on like if you would turn the ignition on. |

I would start with a TPS reset and checking battery terminals and grounds. |

my lawn mower (and Guzzi) does that when the gas cap is not venting. |

I'm with Vern (etennuly) - do a proper reset procedure first, then if it's acting up start chasing ghosts. |

Alright, after get screwed at the HD dealer the TPS is reset and it still has the same problem. I sprayed some carb cleaner around the intake and it was leaking. I replaced the intake manifold seals and it still seams to be sucking air a tiny bit. Could the fuel injector o-rings be bad? Does anyone have info on replacing those? |
