Not that more than 100k miles would have an effect on it but it was getting hard to see the turn indicator arrows & neutral light through the yellowed faded lens on the idiot light cluster. Not wanting to search out a new part on eBay or elsewhere I thought I'd try a simple remedy first. So after successfully clearing up the plastic headlight covers on the family car, a Saturn Ion, with Meguiar's Headlight Restoration Kit, I found out that stuff really works! I put a drop of the cleaner/polisher liquid PlastX from the kit on a cotton ear swab and rubbed the lens doing a couple applications. 5 minutes later the lens looked clear and new again. Woo Hoo! |

Thx for the comments. Re, aah comfort issues, a properly widened, gel modified & compliant covered seat modified by Saddlemen (although minus the perineal channel featured in their latest seats) makes it possible to do more than 30 minutes at a time as it was with the stock seat. I must admit though that not having that channel feature is likely the main limiting factor in doing long distance days, that is, before achy knees, sore wrists, back, neck, butt, etc. lately. |
