Hey guys I bought a 98 S3 last summer and am looking to do a couple things to it. I would like to get a stock size smoke windscreen (have a tall one) also would like to upgrade intake and exhaust. I would buy new or used parts if anyone has them. I am
open to trading my parts.

Don't know how much it will help, or how much of an upgrade it really is, but my '98 S3T Defender's header was polished at one time. Since I am restoring it back to 100% original appearance (with functionally updated parts where applicable), I'd really like to get rid of the header it has for one in it's original finish.

I'd either trade headers or, if nothing happens before then, I'll put my polished header up for sale once I locate a suitable replacement...

Most of the later headers ('99-'02) will not fit behind the frame of the '95-'98 bikes, because the earlier frame tube comes down more to clear the stock "over the frame" header. Some will, depending on the header and the bike. The later headers that don't fit can be "massaged" to fit, but it requires denting the header where it meets the frame. Lynyrd was able to fit a later model Borla system on his S2, and I have a later D&D system I just picked up that I'm hoping I can fit my S2.

I'll get in line behind Brankin for a replacement stock header. MY 98 Defender has a rashed header on it. Functional...but ugly.

This is what...half the known Defender owners TOTAL posting in the same thread? LOL

I thought I read in an older post that someone was looking for the touring windscreen but couldn't find one, I'd be willing to trade my touring for a stock size.

Not to rub it in, but you should've been to the garage night at Screamer's place last night.

It's AMAZING how much history there is around the H-D 95th/HOG 15th/Buell Battle of Champions...

Just got to looking at my stash, I have 2 of the early 2 1/2 headers, neither is perfect though they both have some scratches.
