In the context of this conversation you attempted there to say Rossi admits Marquez is that good it's not the Honda which makes him unbeatable by Rossi. What Rossi actually said was "They have a small bike advantage compared to us but Marc is the only one able to squeeze the Honda at 100%." So in fact Rossi is saying the exact opposite to what you imply, which is Marquez is riding the Honda 100% which presents a small advantage over the Yamaha. I would assume therefore, Rossi is suggesting he himself is riding the Yamaha 100% also. This is how he knows the Honda has a "small bike advantage". Rocket in England |

I don't think we will know the answer until 2016 at the earliest, when the rules change again and limit electronics and bring in new tyres. Until then Honda will retain their advantages and Yamaha will play cathc up. Personally I think there is more to it than just a bike advantage. if you look at just how easily Marquez was able to overtake Pedrosa and Lorenzo on the brakes into the first chicane it looked almost too easy for him. He appears to be able to brake later and accelerate earlier than either the other Hondas or the Yamahas, and that is purely down to his ability and machine control. Rossi is the closest to him but I doubt he can beat Marquez in a straight fight right now Mugello may still hold some fears for Marquez after his 209mph get off last year, but I doubt it. |

I'm hoping to drive down to Mugello next Thursday. Be great to be there - and see Rossi win! I just priced the tickets. I nearly fell off me chair!! £230 each. Rocket in England |

£230!!! Do you get to have a pillion ride with Rossi and share his motorhome for that price? Makes Donington seem like a freebie this weekend (though I doubt we'll get the sunshine of course!) |

Donnington looked like a bargain this weekend and there are some way cool places to stay . . I was seriously thinking about trying to reschedule a weekend event. . . . I'd still like to make couple races. One thing we can all agree on about WSBK . . . Buell has never dangled better opportunities for great travel! |

There's always Road America at the end of May. Surely you can make it to that one. Might not be at the same level of competition, but it's still racing. |

One thing we can all agree on about WSBK . . . Buell has never dangled better opportunities for great travel! No!!! They picked the wrong airline to use. And they don't know the right kind of food to order. And there could have been better hotels to stay at. Obviously, they need to get somebody in charge of travel arrangements who knows what to do and do it right! |

I liked the part where Erik said there's about 70 odd freebie tickets to give out every race. Can't imagine who got the Donington ones seeing as I mentioned it here and the postman's not brought me a couple Surely you got at least a couple of freebies with all you do for Buell / EBR Matt? So... Michelin is coming back; this time as the sole tire supplier. This WILL be interesting. Can we just skip the rest of this year and go to when everyone is riding on Michelins again (many for the first time)? |

I haven't seen any mention yet why Nicky only did a few laps. I'm sure there will be something later today on it when the teams issue their press releases though Nothing on why Pedrosa was a poor 11th or Lorenzo 6th either yet. I'm sure neither will be very happy! |

Doubtless announcing their withdrawal from the series due to this sub-par performance. I think you should leave irony to the Brits This is MotoGP, so there are no BAD teams in here. Even the Avintia or PBM bikes are faster than any production bike you can possibly imagine. EBR are not here but in WSb, where they are promoting their superbike against other manufacturers similar products (in terms of capacity, power and marketing at least) yet they are still 5 seconds off the pace after 5 rounds and 30kmh slower than the others. Maybe EBR really should consider missing a couple of rounds and trying and develop the bike in private testing so it can return and at least try to be competitive? As they are now they are just turning up every week with no improvement. So please explain how they are allegedly making progress? Back to MotoGP.... |
