Went for a quick ride after work today. My 08 XT started perfectly. The new Drummer exhaust made wonderful sounds. The fueling Map in the EBR ECM is perfect. The bike fits me like a glove. It is perfect for long, short and in between rides. For a time last fall I halfheartedly tried to sell it as I bought a BMW GS to ride to Alaska this summer. Still taking the BMW to Alaska but will be glad to get back on the Buell when I return. This is a bike I'll keep for a long time. I always seem to feel better after some time on it. Thanks Dr. Uly for another hour of V-Twin therapy. |

I'm up to seven in the garage (including the Uly) and I have to agree, when the Uly is on, its hard to beat for everything you describe. And mine's got just a stock can but a good map on the ECM. The others are enjoyable to own and ride but its kinda weird, when the Uly is down, its the only one I really want back up and sorted for riding and I find myself irritable about until its back together. I don't miss the others the way I miss the Uly. |

Couldn't agree more with both of you. I've thought of selling my 06 a few times, but what would I replace it with with the low-down surge? That's before I start thinking about the handling or the amount of bike you get for the money. I used to have a GS, a damn fine bike, but the X is better in my opinion. The GS, the original 1100 was 9,300 GBP in 1995, although I paid 7,250 GBP for a 95 the year later second hand. I got my Buell new in 2008 (the 06 model) for a discounted 5,995 GBP (originally 8,195 GBP). Yep, bikes are more expensive in Britain than U.S.A.! |

I sold my 06 last August and even though I've looking at other brands/models, I really don't think I will be happy until I own another Uly. It's some sort of sickness... |
