I got tired of only having two gauges so I built a new dash to add a few. I also added a 12v acc plug and will likely add a 30A switch as well. I still have to hook up the gauges, which includes figuring out where to mount the sending unit in the fuel tank and adding a bung for the temp gauge. Built it out of an old Maverick(I think?) carbon Fiber HamCam that has been hanging on my wall for years. This was not a pristine piece, so no need to feel sorry for it .

Looks really nice. Now don't be scared when the oil pressure gage needle hardly moves. I doubt you will see 20 psi. |

Thanks, I figured as much, but wanted the gauges to match, and the pressure gauge was part of a 3 pack for $40 . One of these days I'd like to find a high-flow oil pump to kick up the pressure a little bit, because I plan to run both my spin-on oil cooler and an XB oil cooler. I do have an XB oil pump as well though that I plan on using; maybe that'll do the trick. |

That's really cool. Looks like an aircraft cockpit. Great creativity and fab work. Can we see a pic of the whole bike with the fairing? Looks like my red S1, just curious what the whole package looks like on the bike. Thanks... |

Sorry to disappoint Sean, but it's actually an S2 that one of the POs converted to 7/8" controls.

+2 for creativity and +3 for execution very very very nice! I hope that the oil pressure sender pix helped |

They did, thanks! I shouldn't have as much issue though because I ditched my dummy lights. I'm likely going to weld in a bung in the backside of the oil tank for the temp sensor though unless i can find another place for a sensor. The temp sensor is supposed to fit where the pressure light sensor fits but I haven't tried it yet, nor does it make sense to me to put the temp sensor there and the pressure sensor in the oil tank, since the latter would not likely give correct readings. I kmnow the pressure gauge won't move a lot but it was part of a 3 pack. I may eventually replace it if I find one with better range that matches. Or, better yet, find a pump that can up the pressure 5 PSI or so, which would likely net the same pressure once I add the XB oil cooler (I have a spin-on oil cooler as well behind the oil filter). |
