Don't know if EBR is going, but there was a news release today about Ulrich's 3 race series on the West Coast. Here is the website: http://www.superbikeshootout.com/ |

Last time I talked to Cory he said they were talking about it, but as usual it is all about money and it takes a lot to go to California to race. So it depends if the sponsors come up with the money. |

Cory will be at Superbike Shootout. So will I. Don't know if I can qualify, but I'm gonna give it a shot. |

Interesting. I heard Pegram was NOT going to be in California. Is Cory changing seats for the Shootout? Good luck to you, Rob! |

Interesting. I heard Pegram was NOT going to be in California. Is Cory changing seats for the Shootout? Good luck to you, Rob! I hope not, as I understand it, Corey's bike is using the Stock ECU from the 1190RX while Larry, Geoff and Aaron are all running Magneti Merreli equipment. Some of the problems they are having seem to be similar to the early issues Buell and Rotax had with the 1125r ECU and the Helicon. Give them "what for" Rob! |

Keep in mind that Cory is actually under a separate team than Larry. His team is only using Larry's transporter as a matter of convenience and cost savings. |

Very interesting.. Michael Barnes is going to be racing a MV Agusta F3 675 at two rounds of the shootout then it's going to AMA racing. |

In the side bar of Cory West in the Motorcyclist article on the 1190RX it says Cory is sponsored by K&L Supply. Who is K&L Supply? |

K&L Supply makes tools for motorcycle shops, most notably motorcycle lifts. K&L has been a long time sponsor of Cory and some other riders. They stepped up to the plate more this year and helped make Cory's deal possible. |

Is there a roster of entrants and a schedule? I have the web page and the facebook page but no luck finding specifics so far. |

So, is anything going on at Fontana yet, or do they not show up until tomorrow? These guys have done an amazing job of finding tracks, putting a schedule together, and assembling a team of sponsors, but it seems like they're kind of falling short on the information/publicity angle. |

It should be obvious by now that Cory will not be there as there have been no press releases. I do know that he will be teaching a riding school at Blackhawk farms next Wednesday. |

Very sorry to hear Cory won't make it. I guess it's up to Rob to carry the EBR banner! Come on Rob!!! |

Here is where Cory and Larry are today rather than Fontana, down in old New Orleans. Probably can get more accomplished there than at a race. http://instagram.com/p/nQgBbQLQR-/ |

I don't know why AMA didn't keep NOLA on the schedule. I went to the race there 2 years ago and EBR fared pretty well. I believe Geoff crashed during the race but Danny finished 3rd, and would have easily finished 2nd if not for a time penalty for touching a painted line coming off the last turn a few laps before the end. It's a cool facility. |

Looks like the first stop of the Superbike Shootout is over for the pro riders, but also other races still going on. From the live timing, looks to be many different classes going all day. The Superbike class had 14 riders (I think) and the Sportbike more than 20. I won't spoil it for those who want to watch it later on, but times were close and looked like good racing. I think that Ulrich may well be on to something by including it with other classes and divisions. Hope he makes a go of it. |

Just got back from the Superbike shoot out. Very cool of John Ulrich to put this together. Nice to have a socal race with top riders and teams again. The price was right, only $10.00. I was at the podium for the sport bike trophy presentation, when I saw John Ulrich I said thanks for the racing and shook his hand as did many others. |

Some guy named "Higbee" was there with a super trick all carbon fibre bike powered by a MotoGP2 Honda engine...the bike is a "Brough Superior" a little faster (!) than the one T.E. Lawrence rode:

there was TV there but it's a big track...probably couldn't find a place to plug in the camera...
"Hot Pit" from the pit side stands ( Pro's only)
it's big track...look closely and you can see one bike before and one bike after the Start/Finish line:
top of the press box ... a TV camera , but nobody home:

The Brough Superior (in the pits, less wheels and some other required parts that appear on our "old" technology bikes) Like an big mouth bass...missing a Headstock fixture...no need for tapered roller bearings here)
right side, rivet those foot pegs on!
left side, pivot point for front end, carbon fibre/metal bottom triple clamp....looks like a Graves( Yamaha?) pipe.
lower front left side...what's missing???....must be that new liquid nitrogen cooled Honda engine...where's the Rads?
