At the end of this riding season I will be looking at getting rid of my pm rims for some oem. The only question I have is how hard is it to find oem rims? Should I start the search now or will I be able to find them pretty easy? |

What kind of OEM wheels are you looking for? I have a set from a 2000 M2 I'm looking to offload. |

Those are the three spoke type right? I'm just getting in to modding my x1 so I didn't even realize that there were different ones. |

There are Marchesinis and Cast Alloys. Both are the same pattern, with the Marchesinis being slightly lighter. The Ms were on '95-'97 bikes IIRC, replaced with the CAs. |

I have a set of black ones from my 1999 S3, there chipped up a bit but no dents, and there straight, if your interested. |

Now that you mention that Phelan, I have to check those wheels. I could have sworn they were off a 2000 but I also remember them being Marchesinis. |

Doesn't look like they are to horrible hard to find. I should have picked up the orange ones that were on here for 250. |

Have pair of dark gray Castalloys, black Castalloys, and pair of white Marchesini. |

Jayvee can you post a pics of the cast and the marchesini? I tried Google but it's showing tons of different wheels. |

Marchesinis and Castalloys look identical:
Marchi on my 95 S2 (above). Castalloy on my 98 S1W (below).
...and the only real giveaway between the two, the Marchesini "m" cast into each spoke base:

Did the Marchesinis have the plugs in the spoke holes whereas the Castalloys didn't? |

I like those. I wanted to powder coat mine. But I can see destroying pm wheels cause I want a different color. |

I'm not sure if the plugs were stock or not. My S2 had them when I got it (used)...and I've just left them there. |

I was looking around to see how much to sell my pm wheels for and how much to expect to pay for oem ones. So I looked at eBay (I know not the best place to look but I really couldn't find anywhere else) anyway the prices on there are crazy. So can anyone give me a ballpark of what the pm rims will sell for and a reasonable price for oem. Thanks. |

So I picked up a set of castalloy ( no m ) it cam with the rear sprocket and axle and caliper and rotor. I'm going to put them on this week and was wondering am I better using all the stuff off my bike or using the hardware on the wheels. I don't know what year or make they came off of. |
