Hey guys this is my first post here. I bought a 2002 Buell Blast last year as my first bike and after riding it 2 days it broke down. It would start but then shut off after like 10 seconds. I took it to a mechanic and then couldnt pay for the repairs which was a blown head gasket. I left it there for a year and then last month I brought the bike home and changed the base and head gaskets, new spark plug, changed the oil, changed das boot and it still starts for about 20-30 seconds and shuts off. I checked the other posts and I dont know if its a carb problem but I dont want to open it since I know nothing about it and dont want to mess it up. Any help with this problem would be great especially since its getting so nice out. Thanks! |

Tough call. Best bet is to get a service manual, and follow the trouble shooting guide. Sounds carburetor related, but it's a tough call. Maybe needle sticking closed, allowing the bowl to empty? |
