Well i finally got around to doing ny valve adjustment and so far i dont find it too hard to do. Just a ton of T30 screws. At least that makes its easier to rebolt everything back up. Measured my clearances and 1 was out of spec, 4 were at the minimum and the rest was within spec. Just want to make sure my measurements are right. So far its only clearances, will be measuring the shims tonight Front of bike Exhaust .010 .011 Intake. .008 .008 Intake. .006 .006 Exhaust .010 .008 Rear of bike |

How long would you say the tear down process has taken? Did you rotate the engine or lift off the frame? Just curious. Thanks! |

I rotated it. I did it in 2 days slowly. i would say maybe about 4 hrs being extra careful as its my first time doing it |

Wow finally got around to changing the shims out. Its pretty easy to do, a magnet is a must. Its nerve racking thinking about a shim might drop into the engine. I made sure i plugged the space with shoptowels |
