I have a D & D exhaust on my 2001 M2. It sounds like a Buell should like! |

I have the V&H and love it, but it's a hair loud. I keep it quiet around my neighbors. BTW you have to check the allen screws in the endcap often |

I have the V&H and really enjoy the sound. All the carburetor mods listed here are spot on with that pipe and a Force Winder intake. Coxster, thanks for the tip on the Allen bolts, I will check them this evening. |

Finally finished and installed on my bike this weekend. Here is a link to a video clip of the pipe at idle. http://youtu.be/CJ7MzUgrJSU (Message edited by Koz5150 on May 03, 2014) |

Koz - That pipe sounds and looks awesome. Would love to see some more detailed pics on how you've mounted (supported) it. Thanks. |

It may be loud, but is it dual-reverse cone megaphone loud?

Two simple mounting tabs one in the front, and one in the back. The back also got a 1/4" thick rubber washer sandwiched between a couple of stainless ones. It was clean and simple. (Message edited by koz5150 on May 09, 2014) |

The reverse cone's look like Stevie Wonder welded them together |

Don't shoot me, it was with a 6 year old 120 AMP 20% duty cycle MIG! Terrible they were, but the grinder cleaned them up :P. |

Buell race pipe. Yep, it's loud...loud enough I need to wear earplugs for anything more than a short hop. |

Pack the race pipe with steel wool. Doesn't blow out anywhere NEAR as fast as the factory fiberglass packing (you do know you need to repack it, right?), and the steel wool is MUCH more mellow than the 'glass. Still a rip-snortin' power setup, just...more polite. ish.

Yeah, probably time again. Last time I used the American Sport Bike kit and it worked pretty good (if you ignored the instructions and used common sense). I did a write-up on it here a few years back, but I have no idea where it got archived to. |
