Hey everyone...Just got a set of Conti Road Attack 2 Sport Touring for my 2003 XB9. It's been a while since I've had to break in new tires. What's your advice??? |

Be really relaxed for the first 15 miles or so, then over the next 100 miles get a lot of lean on the bike without hard cornering (you can do this with body position) to scrub in the whole surface of the tires. Then just ride. |

Take it easy on the way home and ride carefully in the corners. What I usually do is go to a cul-de-sac in my neighborhood and do slow circles, first one way then the other to scrub the side tread. Do that about 10 circles on each side then check for your scuffing. Lather, rinse & repeat till you are satisfied the tread is scrubbed enough depending on your riding style. By the time I am done, I am scrapping the floorboards on my Road Glide. |
