Shout out to Al from American Sport Bike for the conversations, parts etc. Support his business because he supports us Buellers to stay on the road. We are all on budgets but you cannot beat or replace the knowledge and support he gives. Thanks. Now where is that Penske?? lol |

Hahahaha Sean. Gotta love the Buell porn. I actually have a good friend who is a certified Harley mechanic and has worked on Buells quite a bit. Said bring it over and put it on my lift table and he is gonna coach me through doing the swingarm, isolator change. That's perfect cause I want to do the work to learn as much about these bikes as possible. My next bike will be an S2 or S2T. Thanks Vince and yes we will be getting together this summer at least a few times brother. |

Nice build Jeff, Nice to see the parts laid out on carpet. It freaks me out when people lay them all on the concrete. Quick question, top photo has a nicely polished cast aluminum swing arm, the later photos show what looks like a steel version. Am I seeing things correctly or did I miss part of the build. |

Neil I put the back tire back on because Iam taking the bike to my mechanics house to do the swingarm/isolator change. He is certified and is gonna guide me through it so its right. |

outstanding collection of parts!! that bike is going to be beautiful when you're done! excellent decision to have your mechanic teach you how instead of leaving money with him and picking it up later! this is a great time in the Buell community, lots of down to the frame type builds going on, so were all here to help each other out and its truly great for our bikes to have even more pristine versions running the back roads. Well done dude! keep the photos coming! |

thanks Dave. Ya not afraid of doing it myself but when my mechanic offered me to use his lift and knowledge I was like ok cool. So had to put the rear wheel back on the stock swingarm for now so I can get it over to his shop. Will do it one day this week. XB rockerbox conversion done and catch can mounted. I think I will keep it there. Not 100% sure yet so didn't hook the lines up. More pics to come this week. Ahhh I just love Buell porn. LOL

Going to do the swingarm swap in a few weeks or so. Waiting on Penske 8983 shock and going to install the Mikuni HSR42 flatslide carb as well. |

Wow, looks fantastic. Best part? You havent't tried to fark it up by transplanting some sort of abortion-like rear end from another motorcycle onto this beautiful S1. And by the way, I think the later X1 swingarm is an awesome upgrade over the stock piece. Very clean and nice looking bike, you're doing a masterful job of putting this bike together. Tasteful color scheme, too. |

Thanks Sean. Yes the X1 swingarm is what should be on this bike really. I agree. |
